I live in Melbourne with my husband Will and my 3 boys (eldest 9, and twins 7). Early in 2006, when I first met Will, he showed me the Gnosticweb site, and soon after I started the online Dreams and OBE course. Amazing information, and more than a little startling for a person raised as a Seventh-Day Adventist... the name of Belzebuub was especially daunting to someone with my background! But the information seemed to make sense, and I really liked the idea of not believing anything, but testing it all through personal experience.
I've also completed the Self-Discovery and Gnostic Wisdom courses, and learned so much, in both a practical sense and on an intellectual level. It feels like baby steps, but I look back and see some progress, which motivates me to keep trying, and then keep trying again - and again!!
I think the most important thing I have learned through all the courses and exercises is that having a "book knowledge" of something has little value by itself - true understanding only comes through my own personal experience...

thank you so much for your insight. i think it's beautiful that your eldest son read the prayer of St. Francis at your wedding. I love it so much myself! I have it posted in my car also to give me a lift and remind me what i'm pushing for everyday.
and i know EXACTLY what you mean about repeating yourself..over and over and over again! i tell them that i'm going to just record myself so that i will only have to push play on the recorder!! :)
and i would love to chat more via email! thank you! i don't know anyone with kids trying to do the spiritual work...so it would be lovely to talk with you.
i must go now and ask my boys...for the third time..to do their homework :)

my name is katie and i live in california, usa..i saw some of your responses on the forums and thought that you had very insightful responses. i see you have three boys...i have three boys too! ages 12, 9, and 7. they are wonderful..arent they? i have a question for you, if you don't mind (sorry..i know i just introduced myself!), but what i wanted to know was - what is your biggest challenge in doing the spiritual work having children? i am a single mother, so i know that having a partner probably makes things a little easier, but besides that i would love to hear your thoughts on this. thank you so much.

Hi, thanks for your comment. I have two kids a girl 14 and a boy 12. Thanks for your comments about the poem. I have trying to write poetry that inspired me that was based upon our studies with gnosticweb.
