The Toronto Centre

Courses have been running in Toronto since 2001, with over a thousand students having already passed through the various classes. A dedicated team of instructors run all the courses in our Centre. Although located in the heart of the busy Danforth area, the Centre is surprisingly cosy and quiet on the inside - not to mention easily accessible to those arriving by the TTC (a 1 minute walk from Pape station).

Classes are focused on practical discussion, including topics such as meditation, awareness, astral travel, self-knowledge, and a wide range of spiritual and esoteric subjects.

The lectures are always followed by a group exercise and feedback session, creating an opportunity for everyone to practise the techniques together and to benefit from the insights and experiences of fellow students. The emphasis is on getting the basics right, and the aim is to provide students with the means of exploring the information directly and acquiring personal experience of the material taught in the courses.

The classes are also opportunities to get feedback from instructors and share insights with like-minded people; both teachers and students benefit a great deal from these meetings.

For more advanced students who have the interest, regular walks are held in the many beautiful trails that can be found in and around the Toronto area, in order to practise the techniques taught in the courses relating to self-awareness, self-observation, and so forth. The warmer months are full of activity in this regard, taking advantage of time before the long winter sets in. Many of the students in Toronto attend these walks, using them as a wonderful learning opportunity and allowing them to get in touch with the spiritual side of life, despite a hectic daily routine.

Even during the winter, the warmth of the centre provides a welcoming place to spend time attending discussions and group practices - not to mention the coffee, tea, hot chocolate, snacks, and warm meals offered up in the café...

The information provided at the centres is the same as that provided by Gnosticweb's online courses. However, each lecture is expressed in a unique and individual way by an instructor who conveys the information in accordance with their own knowledge and experience.
