Sydney Gnostic Center

The Gnostic Movement's centre in Sydney is located in cosmopolitan Bondi Junction, which is in-between Sydney's CBD and the internationally renown Bondi Beach. We are located just beyond the hub of the largest shopping centre in the southern hemisphere and are in easy reach of major public transport facilities which our students find quite convenient.

Our Center

The centre is a two story terrace house which we have recently given a facelift all over with fresh paint and a transformed garage which now serves as a pleasant semi-outdoor cafe area. A lot of work was put in by the dedicated group of 14 teachers and trainee teachers who cheerily volunteered their time and efforts over numerous weekends to make this project happen (see blog). This refreshening of the centre was in response to a surprise visit by the founder of the Movement and of this very centre, Belzebuub. He first opened this centre with his wife Edith in 1998, and at former premises also in Bondi Junction in 1994.

Our Centre is a place that is devoted to the practices and the teachings and so has a certain quality of energy about it that is very beneficial for spiritual development and transformation.

Activities at the Centre

We run all the same courses that are provided by Gnosticweb's online courses. Every term we hold classes and practices on Sundays from morning until mid afternoon. We have a dedicated team of volunteer caterers who stock our cafe with a variety of great food each weekend for all the students and teachers to enjoy. Many students arrive early for their class and stay back after class in order to have discussions with fellow students and teachers over some food and tea or coffee in the cafe. Our students come from all walks of life and all enjoy meeting up with each other to discuss the teachings, how they relate to the goings on in the world, to share experiences and understandings and to get their questions answered by qualified teachers. We also hold some mid-week practice sessions in the evenings.

We have two main practice rooms where Astral Projection, Meditation and concentration techniques are practiced as a group and are a haven from the hustle and bustle of our busy ordinary lives.

There are currently 7 teachers at the Bondi Junction centre who share the running of classes and practices. The Sydney centre has always been Australia's first and strongest centre with the majority of teachers worldwide having come from this centre. We have produced and sent teachers out across the globe, to Melbourne, Brisbane, USA, Canada and London. We have also in the past run groups in other parts of Sydney such as Manly, Chatswood, Parramatta and Wollongong.

The centre has a very friendly atmosphere generated by its teachers and students, with spiritual music playing and incense wafting through the rooms, the subtle genuine concern and compassion is a great boost and support for all.

The spiritual direction and guidance of this centre has seen the teachings spread all over the world and it continues to flow on to all those who walk through its doors.
