In the wonderful and unique countryside of the Greek mountains, "Dasiko Xorio" is surrounded by firs, at 1000m high, located on the South-Eastern side of one of the highest mountains in Greece, Giona, in Central Greece. Mount Giona has a huge and important ecological meaning and unrivalled natural beauty. On the South-Eastern side of the mountain where "Dasiko Xorio" is located, there are firs whose origins are lost back in time. 20 separate wooden houses - arranged as a small village and completely isolated in the forrest - create a perfect spot for our retreat.

At a close distance is the monumental archaeological site of Delphi - Delphi was the site of the Delphic oracle, most important oracle in the classical Greek world, and it was a major site for the worship of the god Apollo. Delphi was revered throughout the Greek world as the site of the omphalos stone, the centre of the earth and the universe. In the inner hestia ("hearth") of the Temple of Apollo, an eternal flame burned.

Nearby there is Eptastomo, a beautiful countryside in mountain Parnassos (2250m), which is said to be the sacred mountain of the god Apollo and of the 9 nymphs. Eptastomo is surrounded by firs and at this place there is a cave, said to be linked to nymphs. 7 gates that go underground are located in this area and legends about fairies, nymphs and other creatures are abundant.

Also nearby there is the canyon of Rekkas, which consists of a wild landscape, with a large number of rare native animals and medicinal plants.
