I was just talking to my mom today about this website and what I have been learning about OBS's and astral travel, etc. and she informed me that when she was in her 20's, she belonged to the Rosicrucian Order (has anyone ever heard of this??) for years and practiced astral projection. She told me that she actually had a successful astral projection. I can't believe I never knew this!! I didn't even think she knew what astral projection was and I was hesitant to even tell her about it because I didn't think she'd believe me. lol. I asked her what happened in her OBE and she told me that one night she rose up out of her body and floated to the ceiling, then went outside onto the roof and could look out at all of the other rooftops and the night sky in her neighborhood. She said that she was finally able to project once she learned how to clear her mind of any thought for a period of time and that it took alot of practice, but then she got better and better at it until it finally happened one night. WOW! This gives me great hope. If my mom has done it before, then I know I can!!! |

That's awesome that your mom knows how to do this and you both can discuss it in full beleif. I told my mom and she just looked at me. Haha, but shes started to be more open to it but I still dont think she beleives in it, I wish there was a close family member I could talk to and just chat and ask questions about AP. Only advice I can give is never get discouraged, I got somewhat discouraged last night and have been in a bad mood the entire day.

It’s really cool that your mom was also able to practise astral projection and also had some success with it. Everybody can astral project and verify if the astral plane is real or just made up. That is the beauty of it, you can verifying it for yourself.
If your mom practised astral projection, maybe she wants to take it up again. You can do the exercises together with her. That will surely boost your efforts to make it to the astral.

How nice to be able to share this with your mom!
I'm not sure if mine really believes me. But it pleaeses her to place objects for me to investigate in the astral.
I think Master Samael Aun Weor was involved in the Rosicurcian Order. I can't remember which book it is he talks about it though. But I will look it up.

Samael mentions it in the "The Three Mountains" on page 39. He refers though to it as the Rosicrucian Fraternity (if it is the same)
