Hola everyone,
My friend has been having nightmares every night now and I was wondering if you guys
knew something about it, like if something is wrong with him or w/e. I asked him to describe the dreams;
"and i walk down the hall alone
the dor is in sight
and hte bloody footprints
mark the progress of the already dead
but then out of nowhere
a fresh footprint of blood apperas behind me
and the tracks appear out of nowhere
they pass me go on the wall and on to the ceiling.
i look up and i see a giant eye staring back
i run for the door and the door moves back.
i run as fast as i can and fall through a hole in the floor into a blender.
i woke up screaming."
and another one
"when i fell back asleep
i dreamt of a girl
and i was happy
i think we were a couple
but then all of a sudden
we were in the rain
and she was dying
and i knew it was because i was too weak."
Can anyone throw me their 1 dollar?

Hi Geno,
Doesn't sound too good, I didn't even feel like reading those descriptions, they just sound weird.
Yes, it is possible to avoid nightmares. Personally I used to have them a lot, now I have them very rarely and they are much less scary as they were before.
First of all, I would suggest your friend not to eat any heavy meals before going to bed.
Secondly, if he finds himself in a bad negative state before going to bed, then he can just have a walk, listen to nice music, relax...do, whatever helps him to get out of it.
And finally, you can suggest your friend to take the coming course in Self Discovery here as it does teach how to deal with negativity within and thus change the quality of dreams, and all life, as well.

hello Geno,
Sounds to me he is fearing is own egos in normal life.
Can try to tell him to face it, and understand it.

The things Vadim has suggested can help preventing nightmares. Not eating too much just before going to bed and trying to relax a bit before sleeping.
Our own inner states like anger and fear for example, usually express themselves in a more stronger and obvious way in dreams. Besides these inner states other things can also lead to these experience like for example watching horror/thriller movies or reading similar books. The use of alcohol or drugs also greatly effect our dream world.
