Hi all,

I've found that the website www.belzebuub.com rarely works on my computer. I can access it at other computers, like in a library, but 9 times out of 10 when I try to go to that site from the computer I'm presently on, the page cannot be displayed.

Has anyone else found this or does anyone know of a solution?

Thanks very much.

Hi Mike, we have had DNS issues with that server in the past, but to my knowlege it has been fixed at this stage. - Sounds like there is still some problems. I haven't seen any issues with the site for about the last month, once this problem was fixed. Are you on dial up or broadband?

Thanks,
Admin

Hello Mike,

Funny that you mention this. I have faced no problem with http://www.belzebuub.com.
Infact I have set up http://www.belzebuub.com/blog/3 as my home page and it opens very fast every time, even on a dial-up.

It is this site that I cannot properly access. The time it took me to reach this reply page was around 20 minutes!(not saying it is so always!. This was not the case with the previous forums, perhaps it is due to this site having more content .

See if it helps by making more disk space available, by deleting temporary internet files and cookies and previous restore points(if you are using XP)

all the best

Hi Mike

What you can try is to add some more DNS servers into the
net configuration of your operating system.
If one server can not resolve the address, the others might be able to.

Good luck

Hi,

To Admin: I have broadband.

Manpreet, I'll give what you suggested a try.

I also found the pages here took a while to load. I only had that problem once and while waiting I tried to bring up the page again and it was back to normal speed. So I can't really say the problem has repeated.

Jonny, I'm sorry, but I'm very computer illiterate. What does that mean? It sounds like good advice :)

Hi Mike,

Have you tried opening it in different browser types?

I have had problems in the past where Internet explorer won't open a website, but Mozilla firefox will.

I don't know much about troubleshooting IT stuff, so maybe it's just something to try and see if it works though.

Good luck!

Hi David,

I haven't. Is it possible to install Mozilla and have Internet Explorer? I could maybe try that.

Bizarrely though, the website works perfectly on the library computers and they all use Internet Explorer.

Computers and I just don't get along, it seems.

Thanks.

Mozilla Firefox can be installed and you can still have I.E.
Firefox has a tab system like the new IE and you can set it up so you can open an IE browser tab inside Firefox.
Pretty snazzy stuff.
Not sure if that will solve your problems though.

Hi Mike

DNS server resolve the ip adress into something like
www.belzebuub.com. If the server you use can't resolve the
www.belzebuub.com you can have a delay.
If you go the Internet/LAN properties, IP/TCP protocol properties, you should see some place for DNS servers. Generally the Internet service companies have 1 or 2 on their website.

Hi,

Thanks for the tips, everyone.

I'll try to install Mozilla. It may solve the problems.

At any rate, I managed to view the site about 30 minutes ago. It seems whenever the website is updated (i.e. when there are new things on the blog, etc.) that the page loads. I don't see how that could make a difference, but I have never had problems displaying the page when there have been updates.

Best wishes, everyone!

My school library's computers and every other computer in the school doesn't allow that site. It says something like.

NISD Block

blah blah occult blah something religion

some of the reasons why they block just doesn't make sense, like the reason "Tasteless" , what does that mean -.-.
