Hello everyone! For as long as I can remember, I have dreamed of snakes and dogs. Im not scared of either, but in my dreams I am, For they were always "trying to get me." Well last night I had a dream that I was running somewhere, and I came up on a snake, but I just ran and hopped right over it. I had no fear of the snake. And when I noticed I had jumped over it, it didnt chase me this time. My question is, does anyone know about the meaning of snakes in a dream?

Hi Alzabella,

A snake can refer to temptation but also to the Kundalini. Symbols can have different meanings and can also have a different meaning depending on the context or the situation.

You could write your dream in a dream diary or journal; perhaps at a later time you can decipher it's meaning. Because dreams and especially symbols shown in dreams are of a personal nature, it is best not to share them with anyone.

Snakes are related to the fire, therefore related to temptation. It's important to remember the two-sided symbology of the snake: the snake that goes up (Sacred force of awaken Kundalini) and the snake that goes down (The negative force developed by the black magicians). However, dreaming of snakes can mean something else. In some cases, it might be problems, conflicts with other people, gossips, etc and also diseases. That has happened to me on certain ocassions.

Thank you for your replies.
Martijn L- I would love to write them down but I can never remember any other part of the dream, except for the snakes. I will also take your advice about keeping my dreams to myself.

Hi alzabella

There are some exercises to increase the remembrance of your dreams
at the beginning of the astral travel and the self-knowledge course,
they will help you to remember more of your dreams so that you can
write them down.
But keep the dream diary to yourself.

Hi Alzabella,

Sometimes dream details just pop up once you start writing it down. Also, having at least something written down gives the experience another point of view, I find. Like when I write a dream down and read it after a few days I'd sometimes find more to what I've previously thought.

Dogs can also be related to the sexual energy, On one side we may see the dog that attacks and want to steal the energy, while on the other we can have a guide along the path.

Good luck with discovering the meaning!

Hi,

I dream about animals and snakes too! I just had one about a snake biting me...

I know there are all kinds of symbolic meanings you can attach to these animals but, as you'll see, everyone here has their own interpretation of the meaning of their own dreams.

I find that's best for me, and not getting hung up on what someone else got out of it. Evryone's different.

Just to add,

I was reading the suplementary appendix in the Astral/Dreams book and Belzebuub's interpretations of miscellaneous symbolism. Based on a certain turn of events in my experience they seem to be pretty correct.
I am wondering if anyone else that knows about them/has the book gets/has had the same or similar interpretations.

Hi Apakhana,

I've found some of the symbols in the ATD book being true for my personal circumstances as well. I guess although they may vary sometimes some of the symbols are universal in most of the cases. Of course it is up to the individual to find through their intuition whether this is true or not.

Hi Apakhana,

For me, the book was always correct so far, it seems that those symbols are truly universal.

I had also the experience once, when I had an interesting dream and interpreted it easily.

My logic had made a lot of sense at that moment, but checking the book later, I was surprised to find a different meaning...and the book was right!

Usually dreaming of a snake indicates the a potential danger, enemy or a potential risk of illness. But it all depends on the circumstances, conditions and time of the dream.

However you can find a more accurate answer to your dreams by gathering the different interpretations and compare it to your reality. Such dreams usually repeat so try to remember them all so that you can do a comparison with your actual reality of matters.
