Hi,I have a question: We usually talk about astral dimension when we project. Why nobody mentions the mental dimension? If both are part of the 5th dimension, why we say astral projecting instead of mental projecting? Is mental a higher level? Do people who use more their intellect, instead of their emotional centre, project to the mental and not so much to the astral (or this is irrelevant?)? or are we talking about the astral dimension where both emotions/thoughts are projected (thus mental and astral sub-divisions of the same dimension)? Thanks:)

Well I really don't know but according to the ebook I read just recently, th eastral isn't neccesarily the plane we go to when we OBE all the time. This lady says that the layers are as follows ...

- Etheric plane
- Astral Plane
- Mental plane

and 4 others I believe

the etheric plane is the nearest to us in phisicality and is the most like it. The astral is a higher plane and does not neccesarily resemble our phisical world. The mental plane is above that. I don't know what it takes to go there. I do know that all planes are divided by frequency of vibration and so I would think that if we raise our vibration we might be on the road there.

Hi Lilia,

Indeed there are more planes than just the physical and astral (like the mental) and I suppose they all have their particular methods to get there.

The astral plane is the most common plane for an out of body experience, and the astral plane is in the 5th dimension. We wind up there simply by falling asleep normally at night. We can also get there consciously by concentrating our mind on one thing and allowing our physical body to fall asleep.

Supposedly once in the astral plane, if we try to "jump out" of our astral body and tell it to leave us, we can reach the mental plane, which is still in the 5th dimension.

I?ve heard that the mental plane is ?higher? and more spiritual ? perhaps a higher level, yes.

I wouldn't say that mental projection involves the intellectual centre more and that astral projection involves the emotional centre more - perhaps just confusing names. Astral projection, after all, uses the mind a lot to concentrate.

I have tried the above once before. I'm not really sure if I was in a different plane or not because I lost lucidity nearly immediately and woke up in bed. It's something to try, I suppose.

Through the technique of meditation, we can project to the causal plane of the 6th dimension. Meditation is taught in the Gnostic Wisdom course. It entails falling asleep without any thought in our mind whatsoever.

In the book "The Three Mountains" by V.M. Samael Aun Weor, there is a technique to project to the fourth dimension. It involves praying as we fall asleep that we'll be taken there by our Divine Mother. I have no real experience with this. Apparently we actually go to the fourth dimension, the etheric plane, with our physical body...

There are other planes that I've heard of, but reaching them most likely involves considerable spiritual development by practicing the three keys.

All the best!
