Hi all,I experienced recently a great (clearly) astral travel, but I have 1 question about it.I projected in my room standing on the bed and flew towards the front door. Then I tryed walking through the door but it didn't work for some reason. At that specific moment I was doubting myself for being in the astral. But I ignored this and opened the door like we do in the physical plane. Then I tryed jumping in the air to verify my state of being in the Astral (like in the course) and it worked ;)Now, for my question, I'm a bit confused why I could'nt walk through the front door.Because I now its normally easy when being in the astral.Could it be my mind trying to trick me so I should return to my physical self, or is it only something I should now or ... Hey Chaser.
I myself haven't projected.. yet :-[ but from reading all these forums on here, MysticWeb and AstralWeb I have read many of the same accounts. The most frequent response i've seen is you are in the astral, yes, but there are others too who experience this problem with door/walls. As far as advice or techniques, I couldn't tell you. I just wanted to assure you that you were indeed in the Astral and also to let you know that there are others out there with the same dilemma.

Best Of Luck!!

Quick question for you... When is your most success achieved with AP? I find I have gotten closest when I wait to lay down until i'm dead tired as opposed to laying down an hour beforehand. I've also read a lot about morning success but have not yet had to chance to try that. Anything you could tell me would be helpful.
Thanks again for your time.

Hi there,

I suggest you try an alarm that wakes you up in the middle of the night, afterwards turn it off and focus on APing.
Wich means close your eyes, let dream images come to you and concentrate your focus at the split fase or the time when sleep arrives.
When you succeed, you'll feel sensations like buzzing in your ears, feeling light and heavy (your astral body splitting from your physical).
At this moment the projection is taking place and your almost in the Astral.
Mind that when you experience these sensations for the first time its very extraordinary and it could scare you a bit, but try to ignore this fear cause it will inhibit your projection.
Also , keep in mind that APing is a natural process, we do it everytime we go to sleep but only unconcious.
This time you'll do it concious and it could give you some fear for the unknown.
Tip: IGNORE the fear
Then when you concentrate fully on those sensations you'll feel you'r astral body lifting up and you find youreself in the astral plane wich is like this physical plane if your truly concious.
The unconcious could bring forth phenomena in the astral (what we call dream images).
Thats why our concious is of great importance to succeed in an clearly astral projection.
If your in the astral try jumping in the air and explore!

Hello shingen,

Congrats, you've reached the immobilisation state (paralyze state).
This is because the bodies (physical and astral) are separating and your voluntary movement of the physical body is being changed for voluntary movement of the astral body, as you leave the third dimension and go into the fifth.
But don't worry, let the projection happen; continue with the excercise and you can eventually float upwards.
Don't be distracted from the exercise by any of the sensations.
If you are sure that you have projected but feel as though you can't move, as though you are paralyzed, then roll over on your side and get up that way.

Keep trying, it will work eventually, and you will see a new world opening for you.

All the best, greetz Dreamchaser

Hi dreamchaser,

To answer your question, the reason you were not able to walk through your door could have been because of doubts you had about it. Doubts can prevent us from being able to do things in the astral. When in the astral, you should try to be open to the possibility that you can do something i.e. walk through a door, fly, go to the prymids etc. If we have a thought or an attitude in the astral plane it can limit our experience.

Take care,
