Hi dreammaster and welcome to Gnosticweb,

Aqcuiring powers like the ones you mentioned would be like giving a machine gun to a criminal due to the condition our psyche is.

We have to get ready to have these powers and this comes only through internal change.

People that can do such things are ready for them.

It is common for us to project in our dreams things what we like or think that we are.

In Gnosticweb you will find techniques to aqcuire knowledge (or gnosis) and develop self awareness through direct experience.

I wish you all the best in your path.

Hi dreammaster,

We can do a lot more in the land of our dreams, also known as the astral plane, than here in this physical world. In part that is due to there being different laws in the astral (we can fly, go through walls, travel to places instantly by simply visualizing them, etc.). But as is often the case in dreams, we can see projections of our subconscious (things that are not real but become a reality for us): if we think of a hat, a hat can appear; if we suddenly think of being attacked, we might be attacked, etc.

So it might be entertaining to do these sorts of things, but we are often not seeing this dimension objectively and I find there are more productive things to do in the astral ? conscious astral experiences are truly precious.

When I become lucid in a dream or astral project, I personally find the best way to spend my time is in pursuing spiritual knowledge. There are beings in the astral that have incredible wisdom that they can impart on us relating to our spiritual development, and these teachings are not only real, but they can drastically improve our lives.

Take care,

ML

For myself, before I used to have many negative experiences both in dreams and Astral, however psychological inner work (taught in SD and GW courses) helped me to change this situation.

As we seriously work on ourselves, we get closer and closer to Divine Beings, simultaneously going away from darkness.

Hi Dreammaster

In order to be able to meet a spiritual being first of all you have to learn how to get to astral cosciously, meaning you need to projet from your body or wake up from a dream. These techneques are taught in Astral Travel and Dreams course which offered on this site for free. It cover the things I mentioned above and much more. These topics are very big and cannot be explained in a post, so it is best to take the courses or at least to buy a book that goes along with them. But it would be best to take the courses becaue there you can ask teachers questions about things that you do not undestand or have difficulties with. You can order it from major book stores online or on absolutepublishinggroup.com and it is called "when I got to sleep".

It can teach you how to project into astral consciously and it seems that you could have an advantage because you are lucid in dreams.

All the strength,

Stas

i have 1 more question what is the real difference between astral travel and lucid dreaming as 1 person said there both part of the astral plane? also a few times i have woken in my dreams floated out my window, once i was outside i was like a leaf in the wind and flew at incredible speed and met people at a university i talked to them and whenever i wanted to go some where i would fly faster then i normally do in my lucid dreams do you think maybe i have had a few astral dreams. 1 lastthing i had a look at some of the techniquies people use to reach the astral state and was surprised to that i have used some of them for years without even studing.......thanks.....

As I understand the terminology,

"lucid dream "is a dream when you are aware that you are dreaming,
so then generally you have a two choices

1) keep dreaming, eventually lose a realization that you are dreaming and have a normal dream.
2) enter Astral plane (that's what is recommended to do.)

All the best with astral investigations!

On several occasions in my dreams i have projected images directly into peoples heads, Often of a demon or something evil looking rushing towards them, I dont know why i ever dream this - Has been about a month since i last had one of these dreams.

Im not an evil person, Nor do i idle on the occult.

Just a dream i spose :)

Hi Leigh,

I just wanted to share my experience regarding those sorts of weird dreams.

Dreams can be wonderful tools for self-knowledge and there are many things that lie within us that we don't ordinarily see. I've had some very peculiar dreams - seeing things I normally wouldn't consider to have any relation to me. But the scary and also wonderful thing is that by looking at myself more closely with self-observation, I've been able to spot these aspects in my daily life (despite previously having no knowledge of them) and I have even been able to overcome them.

Some basic info about self-observation, if you are interested, can be found at the left under "Exercises".

Take care,

ML
