I'm new here so hi Everyone! I'm really good at lucid dreaming, I have been for a while, but now I'm trying to really astral project, as in my mind and body arn't asleep, just my mind. My problem though is what to do after I hit the vibrational state. I can move the vibrations, up my arm, down my leg, etc. but I have no idea what I am supposed to do with them. Yeasterday I visualized my body and grey matter in the shape of my body. I actually saw my astral arm stuck half-in half-out of my etheric arm. I tried to do it again but I can't. During that one period though my arm felt extremely heavy. I assume this is the beginning of astral projection. ???Anyway any help as what to do when I reach the vibrational state will be appreciated. Thanks! |

Welcome to the site!
When you hit the vibrational state, it is very important to keep ignoring all the coming sensations...just keep going with your concentration until you are fully split.
What you just have described for us, is a very common obstacle, many of us tend to get distracted with those unusual sensations, however in order for the succesful projection, we just have to simply go on with the concentration.
Good luck with your progress!

You mentioned your body wasn't asleep.
It's really a key that we fully relax our body first, going through each part thoroughly.
Then, sensations may begin but we keep focused on the practise and relax into it, until we feel that a part of our body has split.
At this point, we can often simply "pop out" of our bodies into the Astral, but otherwise we should actually get up out of bed physically, not just think about it.
Then we should check to see if we are really in the Astral or not.
Best with the practices.

Yes, it's the best to ignore those sensations, keeping steady concentration.
Usually projection comes naturally after the good efforts and continous practices.
Good luck to get through!

You can choose one of the techniques commented down on this page:
http://www.gnosticweb.com/index.php?PageID=430
Once you feel numb/paralyzed/vibrations/electricity or some other sensation you stick to concentration as already mentioned.
If you have those sensations then your astral body is about to separate from the physical so you need to keep on concentrating to attract sleep and project.
Something that you can try is actually doing the technique you have chosen in time different from the time of your actual astral practice. Maybe just sit and concentrate on it. This way you'll get accustomed and more familiar to it. So when it comes to practising it will be easier to maintain.
I fall into distractions easily too, but making efforts with being concentrated throughout the day seems ti help making the mind to work better.
Also, I notice that I sometimes don't relax my head properly. Paying some attention to each facial muscle and the tongue can make a difference.
Good luck with your practices,

If you really want to achieve astroprojection,
you should keep your concentration untill you
pass all the stages of weird feelings and distractions, otherwise you will always fail
to do it.
Droping the intense concentration in such a
precise practice as astroprojection is equal to
forget what you are doing right now.
Eventually, your mind, instead of projecting you in to the astral, projects you in to distraction
and forgetfulness of you goal; thoughts, feelings,
emotions...
So it is clear that in this practice, distraction serves no good.
