Hey, hope you don't mind me asking this ( :-\) but how did you know about Astral Projection at a young age? I mean, you have to learn how to AP and you say you started practising at 15; so your interest must have at least started since you were, IDK, 12/13/14? How did you even hear about it then?
The stereotype/generalisation I'm aware of is that all this spiritual stuff is only for older people because its difficult to understand and grasp and young people are inexperienced and therefore wouldn't be able to handle it. Its partly the reason I have felt, and do now, out of place practising. It's like, all my friends around here, have never been into this kind of stuff so I feel alone at it. My parents don't really believe in this kind of stuff either :-\ which doesn't help much. Honestly, I don't know how I came across AP *specifically*, but did so about 2 years ago I feel, when researching aspects of spirituality. I've never found many useful detailed techniques on the net though. This course is like kwl, or my favouritest word: RARE! ;D
IDK, I could carry on, but instead of going on about my life's story, I'll stop cuz you really don't want to hear it lol. ;) There is something else, but I might mention it at a later date. :)
I mean everything in a nice way btw :). Don't think I'm asking all those questions because I'm a meanie! :o lol. It's just that, back in the hey day, school took up my time. When I left compulsory education my interest into this field increased as I had more time. Back then it was coursework, exams etc. So, if the person who chose the option 12-14 is around, I'd also like to ask you, how did you find time to start APing then!? When you were/are at school I mean? Also, I feel at 12 say, I would have been two young to even properly understand how to AP. Seriously. I have always wanted to write an article about young people APing and their experiences.
Well anyway, I'm just rambling now as I tend to do :-\ but the last thing I want to say is that I think this is a kwl post, I like discussion. :)

When I started gnosis I remembered a situation when I was about 5 years old.
Around that time I lay in my bed, got up and fly away, and was flying around the church with another angel, peacefull.
I only don't know for sure if it was fantasy or ap.
When I was about 17, I was once out of my body, because I here someone breathing in my neck and I couldn't move, then when I could it was gone, a very small ap.
The first consious ap I had with the courses here, an amazing experience.

Actually, I thought everyone was doing it, but some day I mentioned it to my mother and from her comments I understood that she did not really understand what I was talking about. The same happened with some of my friends. Then by instict I realized that even if those experiences were reality for me it was better not to share it with others.
I don't know exactly how I lost that ability. But in the years 12-18 years happened to me only rarely. Even then it was still one very desirable experience. Finaly, at 19 I found Gnosis and the experience got a name: astral travel...
Becouse of my previous experience on the subject I felt from the start and deeply in my heart that the Gnostic Teachings from V. M. Samael and Rabolu were from the Truth.
It is intresting that it needed really hard work to get some astral travels again. And I have to admit that if I have some time that I'm not practicing the ability disappears.

There are so many things we can do in the Astral and it's great to see so many people interested in investigating and learning about it.
Astral Projection can certainly be foreign territory for a lot of people, so you can expect to have all sorts of reservations about it when brought up into conversations.
It's important not to be discouraged when your friends, family, etc. are not interested in the topic. Forcing it on them won't get them to like it. Instead, the best we can do is intuitively bring up astral projection when it's appropriate. As Marita mentioned, sometimes you just know that it's best not to share it. Use your initial hunch as your guide.
Sensitive Serenity, when I first discovered Astral Projection, I too felt alone and disheartened that I was alienated from my friends because they were not interested in spiritual things. But I persisted with practicing, and I've met lots of people who are interested in doing the same thing. Likes attract-we make new friendships and form relationships based on affinities.
This is why it's great that we have these forums, we are all interested in the same thing and it brings a lot of group strength.
Keep up with your practices everyone!

Thank you for the welcome message.
I am so glad that I have found Gnosticweb! :D
I used to be in a Gnostic Center in my town for several years. Then a lot of things happened... I've always felt that I could find a Gnostic Community again, I did't know how, but I had this hope... Then, just a month ago, a friend told me about M. Belzebuub. At once I knew I finally have found it again...
When I start reading your messages in these forums my heart was thrilled! It was like I know most of you. I know what you are talking about, I can see what you describe, we have shared the same quest. The journey starts once more.
Of course I'll take the courses. I'm so grateful for the existense of the Internet! I look forward to July 10!
Regards :)

It is great to have you on board then, I have a feeling that you will contribute a lot of things to the forum.
I am not sure if you know this, but gnosticweb has two sister sites. mysticweb.org is a site that has a lot of articles written by students and astralweb.com is devoted to astral travel. There is also a new site, gnosticjudas.com, that is about the Gospel of Judas and Gnosticism. All those sites have forums too. This may not be news to you, just thought that I would mention it.
