I have had nightmares when I was young like many other people but they stopped and I can't remember having any since. I have been told by physicians that nightmares are usually a natural, clinical thing children get but if you're an adult there's a problem if they are re-occuring. Gnosticweb seems to think they are some kind of psycho-spiritual anomally caused by inferior astral worlds. What are everyone else's thoughts and experiences?

Hello Danny,
I am not sure of Gnosticwebs stance on it.
I however suspect that children being children are more aware and uncorrupted hence have a lot more free dream expereinces. IE Astral travel experiences wether they remember them or not.

Of course add one aware astral traveler you then get many scary negative entities. Thats why I think adults tend to grow our of the 'night terrors' as we all do, we just grow out of being astral aware.

But thats just my speculation. However I did experience many astral run ins with the dark side as a child.

I just wish I was taught then what I am being taught now.

Peace and strength.

Hi Danny!

As I know it, according to the information of Gnostic courses and my experiences we have nightmares from going into lower realms of astral plane, so called infra-dimensions.

Usually we can go there being preoccupied by strong negative egos or/and after taking heavy meal.

After some work on my egos and being careful with not going to sleep heaving a full stomach, I rarely have any nightmares.

Luck in your investigations!

hi danny,

i used to have nightmares when i was younger. but over time I stopped having them as much or they did not seem to scare me as much and could be ignored very easily. When i first learned about nightmares being caused by going to sleep soon after eating a lot, i curiously tested the idea out and I had a terrible nightmare.

I would not suggest doing it yourself, but i then began to understand why nightmares occur in the infra-dimensions or inferior dimensions, because during that night i felt like I was in some awful hellish place and felt very frightened. I guess that's an unpleasant way to get some evidence on the matter, but I was suprised how accurate gnosticweb's teachings about this and other things are.

Danny,
If I may...
From a stand point of someone who experiences night terrors often I would like to point out that the term
night terror and nightmare should not be used as the same word. They are in fact two seperate phenomena. I have night terrors, you are describing nightmares.
Nightmares are visions of unseemly behavior or terrifying images reflected within the physical body and cause sweats or abrupt wakefulness.
Night terrors is a twist on the traditional nightmare. Where the person will physically act out the nightmare that is happening.
I used to have these as child, they are similar to sleep walking....but your screaming and clawing and running from unseen dangers.
It used to freak my parents out!
I'm not sure of the cause of either, mine probably stems from acid reflux...but anyway.
Just thought that I would clarify what you are talking about.
Google:
Nigthmare
then Google Night terror
They are two seperate experiences!

I have so far lived 60 years so I have a library of dreams locked in memory, I have read many teachings from people like Jung, Perls, and other followers of psychology. I have also listened to people telling of demons and possessions and stretching meanings beyond inturpretation. So what do I offer? maybe an old mans ramblings, but to me my dreams are my psychologist my guru, they tell me my state of mind, they also demonstrate to me the ego that controls my life at that moment, all things in the dream are you, a house may have many rooms with doors and some locked, can mean that you have secrets yet to be uncovered. If you can learn firstly not to fear your dreams and learn the message that they contain life may become easier to live for have you not learned to overcome at least one fear.

I agree with you on that Wesley McHugh. It works as a reflection of my inner state.

Hey Wesley, I agree with the fact if you can overcome fears in your dreams, that your fears that deal with life situations become much easier to deal with and to overcome. I also beleive that if you overcome your fears in life, that you can overcome fears in your dreams also. very good point Wesley.
have a good day/night everyone.

The Essence (the soul) has many marvelous powers. When children are young, this is the dominating force in them, no their many egos. As a consequence, they are able to see and experience things that their unconscious adult counterparts are not.

I never realy expected to have a dialog on any subject, but yes fear does have an existance as a form, some if not all have experiencd fear in its many forms. We occupy a mamal being that has its own identity and defence mechanisms, so fear is one. True fear as experienced in absolute terror is a defence decision of flee or fight. If fear arises in dreams there is a moment of decision that is called for, what do we do, flee or fight, do I go with my old beliefs or do I leap into open skies?

I've had a dream for 3 days about these monsters, and the third one was weird, I saw these two people running away from a wall, and I saw a monster jumping down and once it touched the ground, nasty weird vines started going into the people. Before I woke up, I heard from the monsters I guess " We've been waiting 3 years allready! It's ti--" That's all I remember about them talking.
