Hi, Lately i've been having panic attacks, and i wonder if anyone knows what you should do in these moments in panic. I've been in some stressful situations where my egoes related to the panics surely have had opportunity to grow. I have never had these attacks before and they are terribly unplesant... I know the tecniqe for the death of the ego, but is there more I can do? When I have these attacks the feeling of not getting air feels so real so even when I try to be objektive i can't see what is real. Can this be an attack coming from outside? Any reply is appreciated. |

I'm sorry to hear things are rough for you right now, but it's good to hear you are fighting hard. The egos can really be nasty and it sounds like these panic attacks are the egos fighting very hard for their lives.
While the egos are the main thing to blame, there are other influences that could bring upon lower states. Personally, if I am not eating well, or if I am not getting enough rest then I find I'm very prone to lower states. It seems like something small, but this is something you could look into.
In addition, negative entities can sometimes do things to us that make us weaker and bring up more darkness. So doing the circle of protection is helpful, and the Century Plant technique is useful (it will apparently be included in the upcoming "Secret Knowledge, Hidden Wisdom" book for the Gnostic Wisdom Course).
You might want to try doing a meditation upon an ego, because a lot of really great insight can be gained from this practice. Also, along with applying the Death in each moment to the tiny details, sincere prayer from the heart to the Divine for Strength and Insight can truly do wonders, no matter how bleak the situation.

Sounds like your fighting tough under a lot of adversity. Well done!! I have had panic attacks and they are not nice.
Recently I have had ego attacks that I have been unable to shake through conjurations, the death, or COP. So bad it made me think I might be under attack or being influenced.
Wether they are within or without I have found (if one has the time). Clear the room and meditate. Dont have to do it for long but I find this 'earths' me and I get centered very quickly. I have found this to work well when one is having a 'bad' day Gnostically as well.
Meditation as well as being our daily bread seems to have many beneficial characteristics.

I have had quite a lot of experience with panic attacks and i know how unpleasant they can be. The most important thing that i can tell you is that they are totally harmless. They really cannot do you any physical harm. If you think back over all the times you've ever had a panic attack you willl see that although you were very frightened, you never came to any harm.
The egos of fear work in many different ways and if they are strong enough we can find it very difficult to seperate from them.
The best thing for you to do when you feel the panic coming on is to simply be in awareness. Don't fight against the panic with your mind because this just makes it much worse as im sure you've already noticed.
It is really important for you to understand what consciousness is, and although this will be a very difficult time for you, the amount of wisdom you can gain if you fight through this will be truly amazing.
The techniques of awareness and observation will allow you to understand and seperate yourself from these panic attacks, but you have to make sure you are doing it right.
Really try to gain an understanding of what it is to be in the moment. This is extremely important, because in the moment your consciousness can manifest and with the consciousness comes the understanding. If you can make massive efforts to understand this process of awareness, you can then direct this consciousness not only externally to your five senses but also inwardly towards your five centres. With lots of effort and time you will start to be able to see the different egos that make you panic and once you can seperate from them you can then ask your Divine Mother for their disintegration.
Finally, one really useful thing i found is to go for a walk or even to just sit in a park or wherever you feel comfortable. Allow some time everyday just to exist. Don't think about awareness, don't think about your troubles, just exist.
Every time a thought tries to take you away, just keep coming back to this point of existence. Just relax into the moment and allow yourself to simply be.
This understanding of what it is to 'be' or to 'exist' is fundamental for the practice of awareness. Once you have understood this simple state of being you can then observe the centres very clearly and ask for the disintegration of the egos as they arise.
It might also help you to see the egos as sensations. Instead of seeing them as horrible entities, just see them as sensations with different 'flavours' that manifest in the different centres.
This is a very difficult thing to be able to do continuously throughout the day, but if you keep making efforts everyday you will overcome these egos.
Don't let people try to tell you that you are ill because that is complete nonsense. They are just egos and they are totally harmless.

I think I have gained better understanding of the egoes. I see that in my panics there are allot of different egoes working together, most of them are very small egoes that i never have counted for anything.
At first, I was afraid that I was doing something wrong since the panics have come after some years of inner work, but now I am positive the egoes are just trying everything to survive.
After understanding this it was easier to be aware, and eliminate negative thougts and feelings.
I think I need to be much more aware during the day, and pay more attention to what is really happening inside me.

I find it works really effectively if we decide for awareness to be our main priority for a day, the goal number one.
And then commit to it with full heart and intention!
What can be more important than to live in the moment and consequently do the right thing?
