In the first teaching of the Arcanum;"Therefore, people who spill the sexual energy (through their bestial orgasm) breathe out the breath of God, thus, they can never receive the blessings of Iod-Havah within their Souls. Their efforts to attain Self-realization, salvation, will undoubtedly fail."Does this mean, if I have masturbated, or had sex in my life, I will never astral project or achieve self realization? |

Self-realization... well, that's what? Such an ill-defined thing.
What is the greatest commandment of God? Jesus was asked and he replied that it was to love God above all things.
Yet we must also realize that God is in all creatures, and so love all things as we love God.
There are many different opinions about sex as it relates to spirituality. Pope John Paul shares a Catholic viewpoint in Theology of the Body.

That's pretty brief, but at least it gives another perspective, and that's an important thing to have.

As I understand the teachings of Gnosis one is not barred from achieving elightenment from having had sex (with orgasm) or masturbated.
However, one must not have an orgasm or masturbate as they study The Path of self relisation to achieve enlightenment.
This is complicated and probablly not suited for discussion in the public forums but it is covered in the Gnostic Wisdom course.
