People have said that while in the astral they tried to talk to people who were awake in the physical. They could carry on a vague conversation but the people they were talking to responded like they were half asleep or on some kind of drug and that they couldn't talk with any sort of sense at all. They didn't look at them or really acknowledge they were having a conversation at all.I have not experienced this phenomena but liken it to the Master Samael's description of people having a "sleeping conciousness" they walk around unaware they are even unaware, and even in sleep they are unaware of being in the astral dimension. He said that when the conciousness awakens, the process of astral projection becomes not a problem anymore. Has anyone here tried talking to people that were awake while your body was sleeping and you were out and about in the astral?

Hi Apakhana,

This has happened to me a couple of times. I don't think it's ever happened when I was conscious in the astral, however I was at a higher level of awareness/consciousness during these particular dreams. I remember thinking that the people were actually drunk when I was dreaming, it was just how I made sense of it. However, I'm not sure if the people were actually awake in the physical or sleeping in a dream.

Hey Apakhana,

My intelectual understanding is that this whole phenomena has something to do with time being only illusion. Supposedly you could meet your future self who has for example hundreds of life-times more then you have now, or you past self that has hundreds of life-times less then you have now.

You could also meet someone "today" in astral that was in that exact place "yesterday" while unconcious, but he/she is awake in physical "today" when you are in astral.

I have not had any experience with this so i cannot claim anything for sure, but some sources call the third dimension - time space illusion. Apperently everything (past, present and future) is happenening NOW. Apperently there is no time.

Hope this make sense,

Regards!

Stanovnik,

I agree that time is an illusion, but are you sure that everything (past, present and future) is happening now? Wouldn't that mean there is no free will (since the future has already happened/is already happening)?

I certainly don't accept this. From what I have read there are events (if not all events) that occur in the higher dimensions first and work their way down. This would explain why we can receive glimpses of the future in our dreams. But it is also said that the work that we do in the here and now will change any possible outcomes in the future, for better or worse.

The more conscious we become the less we are affected by time (until we can eventually operate in eternity).

I hope I didn't misunderstand you! And I hope you're well ;).

Adios!

Hey Jon,

Time is a tricky thing. This is something that im still trying do grasp intelectually, but i quess it is beyond the mind. According to Monroe's experiences, people doesn't necessarily have to be reincarnated according to the linear time frame, but instead one could be born in various time sequence.

For example, if one would want to experience WW2 or a French Revolution or a Renaissance age after this current life, then it is apperently possible to be born in that specific time (in accordance of ones Karma/Dharma). Same goes for future events. If this is true, then one can be born for example in 1365, after that in 430, after that in 2976, after that in 2004 etc. According to this, time frame in which we live right now, could belong to past. This is still just an idea to me though.

I too think that we have a free will and that even if our future self is very advance, we arent, and we have to work much to get to that state. However, there is a possibility that major events are fixed, like for example, according to Samael, it was known for a very long ?time? that Earth will have 7 root races. If all this is true, then Earth Life System is designed, and we are only here to experience, to learn and to grow while in this School.

I think that the time and eternity is something worth meditating on :-)

Hmmm... Well I don't know much about Dr. Monroe's works, but I do know that it is useless to try to intellectually understand time/eternity. We need a conscious understanding, beyond the mind.

There are many so-called "experts" out there who write all kinds of fancy theories of everything. I think it is best to get the Gnosis for ourselves, by working in the here and now (as that's all we can do)!

I like the quote by Goethe: "All theory is gray, but the golden tree of actual life springs ever green." ;)

Strength to you too!

Not sure if you are refering to Monroe here, but this is supposedly a fact for him, it is a theory for us ;)

And yes, very good quote from Goethe, couldnt agree more :)

Somtimes I hear voices in my head of dead people, sometimes asking me to talk to people they left behind. I don't know what to think of this, if it's real or imaginairy. I just ignore them because I have to keep my sanity.

Ingar,
Only one way to find out... by ignoring what is inside and your nature you are only ignoring what you are and what is real, and how can you know reality if you ignore reality?

What you "hear" might or might not be imaginary... But if you run away from it, how will you know? If they ask you to talk to people for you etc, why not guide a conversation towards something you heard internally? Do not have to blurt out you hear spirits, if you do not know you are, then how can you say you do? But if you do not compare and check the information and what you hear, with what is... how will you know if it is accurate and real or not?
