Not to be gross but 2 nights ago as I was splitting I felt sexual stimulation and I wasn't projecting for sexual reasons I was devastated it took my by surprise a few seconds later instead of being in the astral I woke back in the physical and I didn't feel threatened by what was going on but that was something that happened unexpectedly to me I wonder was that normal? because this is a new sensation that I felt. |

Yes, this is something many have experienced in these studies.
Due to the possibilities of what can be discovered in the astral plane while conscious there, there are forces that work against people that try to get there consciously. I'm sure you may have heard about 'negative entities' and how they can sometimes frighten a person to make them go back to their body or how they can decieve a person with seemingly-spiritual, false teachings.
Another way they can hinder a person spiritually is by appealing to the person's egos of lust with the purpose of making them have a sexual fall, or orgasm. An enormous amount of energy is lost in an orgasm. After such, one can feel the mind more scattered and harder to control, heavy feelings of weakness, and one is more prone to fear and other low, negative states.
There are three things that can keep you from falling victim to those tactics they use.
1. Be strong and deny the temptations when you feel them and conjure those entities away. These conjurations are given in the Astral Travel and Dreams course.
2. Use the techniques for eliminating the egos of lust whenever you spot them during the day. These are given in the Gnostic Wisdom course.
3. Practice alchemy, if you can, so that chastity (a divine force that repels lust and the hypnotic effect of egos and negative entities) can be built within you. Alchemy is also explained in the Gnostic Wisdom course.
Excellent work by the way! It is actually somewhat of a good sign to be attacked by negative entities. They attack when one is a threat to them, and one is a threat when one is going in the right direction spiritually.

Although it may seem hopelessly difficult at times and it may seem as if you aren't making any progress at all, do not despair nor give up. As long as you try to stay practical and in common sense about things, you will learn more and more about how to connect to the divine in a very real and tangible way and how to avoid all of the traps along this path...which is really the only thing of true worth in life.
