I have noticed that word "try" is being seen here on the forum too often.Come on guys. English is not my mother tongue but as far as I know "to try" in every language presupposes failure. So next time before you go into astral just say to yourself "I will go for ..." than "I will try too ...".Little things could do big changes ... Don't you think? |

I think you have a good point in that trying does indicate a certain expectation of failure (not necessarily presupposed, but certainly a reasonably possible outcome).
There is a balance, though, I find - at least for myself. In the times that I assume success, I sometimes am overconfident so can't really relax or when I get close I lose the practice because I get a bit excited.
I'll look into this attitude again, because my practices lately have been sloppy, so maybe I need a little more "go for" and a little less "try for".
Thanks for your insights.
All the best!

Doing exercies and what-not with no expectation at all is also one thing you might want to consider. Often I find myself thinking about what you just said. The reason? There is no reason allowing the mind to yap on and on about what can be or what I will do to make myself more spiritual. There are two ways of being as I see it, in the dark or aware. There is always a way out, it's 'just' a matter of going beyond reasoning and the life we are so familiar with. There are alot of questions here, and by no means do I wish people to stop questioning things, which might be the reason we started our search. Sometimes a break from the forums and questions can be good. I believe alot of times we already know the answers for ourselves. I know I do, there's just a part of me loving the confirmation of a question I already have the answer for. Discussing matters of less or no importance at all, just to stall it a little while before actually getting into that mood where one feels it's the right time to be aware just to later on let it go to an ego congratulating you on your progress, oh dang, I'm in the dark again. The hardest part is definitely getting those wheels of awareness and practice in motion, for me atleast. The world is without time, there is no tomorrow nor a yesterday. There is only the now, and if you are not clear of thoughts or unwanted feelings, then there is something wrong. There can be no acceptance of this, because it is simply not 'you'.
To be or not to be is very much one of the most important questions. Because if you are not now, then you will never be. The one whom is alive is the one in the moment that only exists, while the dead linger in the past or the future.
Sorry I drifted of topic there.
Well, may you all do your best as will I!
