I am sure the others will answer this better than me.I am interested in the answer of the 1st question too.
I have problems with flying all the time and everytime I find myself in the astral I say to myself I can fly, this is really possible,I won't fall because I can fly and etc.I reassure my mind that this is another wolrd and everything is possible. The same goes with moving through objects.
In 2 of my experiences I asked to be taken somewhere but the speed I was moving was very slow I thought Am I going somewhere or to the other place,it has taken too much time and I am still in the air and after this I get impatient and I want to get to my body.
Sometimes we can ask to be taken somewhere but this doesn't happen because maybe we do not have access to this place if it is a spiritual one or we are not ready or we have to learn something else at this particular moment.
You can go to another city by visualizing it if you know the place or have photos of it too.
What can bring you back to your body could be thoughts or strong emotions like excitement, impatience, disappointment, fear and etc.Or you can go back to your body if you see your body asleep while being in the astral.
Love ya!

if you want to have more chances to find yourself consciously in the astral you have to wake up early in the morning. This is an exercise we do during the course. It is better because you are not wide awake then but some kind sleepy, you are relaxed at some point and you do not need to relax from the begining and all you need is to concentrate a little. Also you have to watch for any thought and emotions that can appear while you fall asleep because the constant thinking can make you open your eyes and not let you fall asleep at all.The other thing is if you just open your eyes and close them again without moving you are still connected to your astral body which makes it easier to go back to the astral even in the same place you were dreaming but consciously or find yourself into the room you sleep.
It has happened to me a few times.
This is all you need to successfully astral project.
All the best,

It's funny about the morning. I've heard this from other sources too. Apparently, the best time for spiritual practices, meditation, etc, is the time around sunrise.
And when I think about it, most of the times I have successfully reached the astral plane have been in the hours just before or after sunrise.
The first time I projected was just after sunrise.
And whether it is us or God, I do believe that someone or something has assisted me in my travels.
The times I have been successful, I KNEW I would be successful. Somehow, for some reason, I felt that this would be the time. When I have been calm and satisfied with who and where I am right now, I have been successful. When I have felt "cleansed," mentally, physically and spiritually, I have been successful. Times when I have felt powerful, energised and renewed, I have been successful.
Except for the first time. That just happened.
If you feel that all is right with yourself and the world, you have a better chance of success, in my humble opinion. How can we feel right with ourselves all the time? There's the rub.
Yaseen, your's was a good first experience. Before you can fly, you need to learn how to walk. Now you know it can happen, and this will crystalise your practice and commitment. Now you know it is POSSIBLE, and you will lose any fears or doubts you may have had before. This will help your travels no end.
Strong belief is central to astral work. You need to believe it can happen. What if you jump out of the window? Surely you'd float or fly, I would have thought. Sometimes it's hard to fly too high (no matter how much you flap your arms), and I've noticed darkness around me in these times. Could it be my own problems or desires bringing me down? Could it be a negative entity nearby? Could it be a higher spirit keeping me out of harm's way?
Who knows? There are many places I would love to go, but obviously, I'm not ready yet. I've read other sources that talk about the different planets and realms on the astral plane. It is not all one place. The astral plane is actually much bigger than the physical universe. What does Jesus say? There are many rooms in my Father's house?
So far, my travels have been close to my own level of experience in this dimension. I believe that the more I "clean" myself out - my thoughts and desires, the more I will be able to reach the higher realms on the astral plane.
I have noticed other beings around me on a number of occasions, and I do believe that they were trying to keep me near them. I have had to flee from these people on a number of occasions. Sometimes I was successful, and sometimes I wasn't. I have found myself literally trapped, sometimes caught behind bars or in wire enclosures that were very difficult to escape from. Conjuring sometimes works for me, but sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes I have conjured, only to wind up back in my physical body. I believe there are beings up there who cling to us, preying on the strength of our desires. Psychic vampires, trapped spirits, beings who, for whatever reason, prey on our energy and life force.
But not always. It's often hard to know what's going on up there. It's a totally different environment to what we're used to in this life. It just takes practice and perseverence, I think. Some days you get long and intense astral journeys, and other days the negative entities or other souls get to you, and you're back in the flesh in a flash.
There's a lot to learn up there, and this takes patience and dedication. Keep going, Yaseen. You'll make it.
