I just hadnt seen any thoughts on her. I used to have dreams as a child about a women, always in red. She used to sing to me songs that I never understood. I somehow assumed that it was my own thoughts of Mary (jesus mother) But around ten I remember feeling like this women was someone I knew nothing about. So led a search. And for the past two years, the thought of her seems to be everywhere. It is unusual, yet welcoming. I dont have the dreams anymore (or not that I remember anyways) but she seems to be everywhere in my awake state now. Its always a very positive feeling even some of the research books Iv bought about her, somehow make me feel warm and accepted. ....Any thoughts???Annie |

It sounds like a great memory from your childhood. I think that the story of Mary is very interesting. I am watching the mini-series, Jesus of Nazareth, now and she was in one of the most recent parts that I watched. I can really appreciate the fact that she wasn't a hypocrite. Her story is really inspirational because she was doing what might be considered one of the worst things that a woman could do..but she was able to change and move forward.
Thanks for sharing!

Have you checked out the gnosticjudas site? There's a page on Mary and her gospel here: http://www.gnosticjudas.com/mary.php
You might get a lot out of reading the gospel. I'd planned to read it a while back and never got around to it. It's actually really short, but is filled with meaning, I'm sure. I'm going to give it a try and would love to discuss it.

INTERESTING
And the Bible was altered in the favor of those in control. Heaven forbid that hidden knowledge was for the common people, so they said.

CHAUVINISM
And, have you noticed that the King James version of the Bible sounds a bit chauvinist, wouldn't you say?

I've heard on the gnostic grapevine that the King James version of the bible is the most accurate (esoterically speaking) although what that means exactly I'm not sure.
It could sound chauvinistic because of the time and audience it was written for? Also potentially because the masculine form used applies to both sexes. Some of Master Samael's books are written like this too.
It doesn't matter too much though, as the teachings apply to both sexes equally!

TRUE
That is probably true. I do have a King James Version.
But, also, it could be the way some interpret it. Some take everything so literal.
Well, and then in ancient Jewish custom, those who were permitted to receive a formal education was very limited.

I've read the gospel of Mary Magdalene and it's very inspiring... I specially like that part when the Savior said, "Sin as such does not exist, but you make sin when you do what is of nature of fornication, which is called 'sin'. For this reason the Good came into your midst, to the essence of each nature, to restore it to its root" Also I woulddn't be surprised if the truth is that she wasn't actually a prostitute. Thanks for the information.
