Brisbane Gnostic Center Fundraising Evening

Last Saturday we held a fund raising event for the international projects.

As you can see it was on the magic flute.

It is full of esoteric symbology that relates to the tests and trials of the spiritual path.

We combined the movie with a Banquet thanks to Sarah's cooking skills.

As people arrived there were Entrees served and a friendly atmosphere before the movie started

Shannon starts us off with a brief intro into the tale of Tamino and Papageno's quest to save Pamina who is being held captive by the evil Monostatos and his slaves.

Dinner was served for the intermission a choice of vegetarian soup or Morocan lamb both were delicious.

Then we get back to see Tamino and Papageno find they are lead to endure two different paths

one that leads to the awakening and the other an ordinary life.

This opera has a lot of esoteric significance that we can directly relate to our own lives through the teachings given here in gnosis. In it we see the importance of love and how it gives us the spiritual strength to endure the trials and tests that we must face, faith and obedience.

Here we all are discussing the opera over tea and biscuits.

The night was spiritually uplifting for all and at the same time raised funds for the international projects.
