Future Gnostic Temple in the heart of Berkeley

Hello Everyone,

Here at the San Francisco Bay Area Gnostic Center, we are very happy to let you know that we have found a new place!!

After more than 17 months of searching for a special location, after a lot of dedication and group effort, we finally have found a gem right here in Berkeley -  not far away from our actual location.

We hope that this gem will develop into a Temple where Gnosis, friendships, personal discovery and faith will be built to inspire many others who are searching and attempting to develop their own spirituality.

Now, it’s been said that pictures are worth a thousand words – so here they are:

This is the building viewed from the other side of the street - It used to be a church, now it will be a Temple - a GNOSTIC Temple :)

You would enter through the main large door:

And here is what opens for you: 

As you can see, there will be a very large lecture room (to the left),
and to the right, doors open to different practice rooms and lecture
rooms (see the plan at the bottom of this blog).

So in the back, you see the smaller rooms - there will be 2 large lecture/practice rooms, a storage room for everyone's coat and shoes, and an office - Here are some shots of these rooms - starting from the far right (the storage to the far left where the office will be):

Walking away from the office, we arrive to the Cafe and kitchen area -

The right of this wall is the kitchen - which has already its own serving area - Andy is demonstrating - Coffee Anyone?

Now - downstairs is about to be finished (women's and man's bathroom) - for a quick look: The Ladie's loo has 3 stalls - the Boy's loo has 2.

Now let's go upstairs!! The stairwell is located on the left to the office as you come out of the kitchen there is a small hallway:

This staircase will lead to advanced practice rooms (1 large, and 2 smaller ones) and a large lounge room. There is also a small mezzanine area as you come from the stairs, and from where all the rooms merge onto (here you can see the entrance to the smallest of the upstairs room - may be storage, not sure yet - still developing ideas!):
