Melbourne Social Night
Posted September 25th, 2008 by Steve B
Last Friday night, the Melbourne Gnostic Centre held a dinner and Pictionary social night.
Below, dinner and desert was prepared by several students.
Carl sampling the evening fare.
Everyone shared jokes around the table, and the young Ferguson kids tricked us with several riddles.
Rob and the Ferguson kids in an old fashioned xylophone battle.
Back to the stick or the carrot, David even brought and distributed vegetables from his garden.
Pictionary was made interesting by the "wrong-hand" rule and the "eyes-closed" rule. Strangely enough, almost every turn happened to be an 'all-play' which suited us nicely.
Apparently my depiction of "mother-in-law" was not sufficient, but David's expert skills pushed his team to the lead early in the game (below).
In the end, after much unscrupulous player trading, the team at the back raced forward to take the lead. Finally, in a shock finish, the game was taken in a 'sudden death' finale.
We all enjoyed a very pleasant evening. It was great to catch up in a relaxed setting and the game provided many opportunities to self-reflect.
