Geelong Gnostic Group's First Class

Welcome to Geelong, population 160,991. Cosy costal city and latest site for Melbourne Gnostic Centre offspring.

Located on Corio Bay and the Barwon River, 75 Kilometres south-west of Melbourne, Geelong is named after the local Wathaurong Aboriginal name for the region, Jillong, thought to mean 'land' or 'cliffs'

Zoom in to the Vines Rd Community Centre - 49 Vines Rd, Hamyln Heights, Geelong - where on Wednesday 27th August, people from around Geelong joined in the first meditation class in this city by The Gnostic Movement.

A solid postering effort preceded the class and with 300 posters going up around the city, the locals seemed keen to welcome the new course.

Also, several community billboards were erected on major roads and the usual online advertisements, a group effort of students at the melbourne centre.

A team of students made the trip from Melbourne to support the class, which had a fresh and positive atmosphere. The meditation course will continue to run each Wednesday night at 7:45pm, classes are run by the Melbourne teachers and all are welcome to attend, with future courses currently in planning. It was great to be able to be there for the first night of the first course in a new city. It really felt like a whole new chapter was opening up and that there was a lot of positive energy in the group.
