Hello! Just wanted to ask if the feeling of floating up, is a symptom? I put myself in a very relaxed state, and as soon as i started to have this feeling of floating up, it took me by surprise ( my stomach dropped ) which made me tense up i'm sure. This happened twice. But i have to admit, it scared me a bit, so i decided to go to sleep. Also for the first time i had the sensation of touch, in one of my dreams. I always dream in vivid color and remember my dreams every morning. Just wanted to know if anyone else feels the sensation of touch in their dreams. I am so very knew to the OBE practice. On Two other occasions when waking in the middle of the night i have heard, what sounds like two people having a conversation although i cannot make out what they are saying but the moment i lift my head, the voices fade out. Has anyone experienced this also? Thanks, love jen |

Hey jnnfr,
This feeling of floating up could very well be your astral body leaving your physical body. Many report similar sensations and many also have felt the fear, including myself, and ended the experiance. Fear of the unknown is a major obstacle that we all face and can be overcome with practice so the unknown becomes the known.
About the sensations of touch in dreams, I had never really experianced this before in the past because I had never thought about it. The dream world can be as real if not more real than the physical world, its just a question of awareness. So once in a dream when I knew I was dreaming, I wanted to feel the grass and sure enough when I bent down to touch it, it felt as real as if I was doing it in the physical.
Often when we awake from sleep, there is this sort of dream leakage, we can sometimes hear voices or still see dream images painted over parts of the physical world. This can last for a minute or so, or untill we move. The reason being, they say here, is when we awake, the astral body is loosely connected to the physical body so we are still able to experiance things happening in the astral. When me move however, the astral body is then locked in place in the physical body and we become aware once again of the physical.
The courses offered here teach more in depth, I hope this helps.

Hi Jnnfr,
Yes floating can be a part of the astral split process. If you are in thru the courses and know the exercise, I would advise for you to continue your practise and stay concentrated as you can acheive a successful projection sooner.
