An important part of teaching gnosis is to be able to teach from experience. As such the Teachers Course is geared towards acquiring the experience and understanding necessary to pass the teaching to others. For this reason the exercises are intensively explored on this course.

However all the essential gnostic teachings are available through the other courses. The teachings are given in stages, in that you need to complete the Dreams & OBE and Self Discovery Courses before the Gnostic Wisdom course. This is because these introductory courses provide the techniques that lay the foundation for this work – the whole design is based on direct personal experience, and it prepares the student to be able to investigate and verify for themselves the teachings that are given.

It is encouraged that certain topics are discussed in the appropriate course forums rather than in the public forums. The practice of alchemy is a prime example – this is a sexual practice and given its nature and that the public forums are accessible to people of all ages (including children), and also to people without sufficient spiritual training and experience to understand it consciously – students with experience will approach the teachings in one way, while a newcomer may approach the teachings differently.

But helping others spiritually (otherwise known as 'sacrifice') is a key component to walking the esoteric path, and the Teachers Course helps students to fulfill this important key. When we give we also receive, so by helping to spread these teachings to others, we are given help to progress ourselves.

Hi Earda,

Like Amy mentioned, the essential techniques for spiritual development are covered in the first three courses: Dreams and Out-of-Body Experiences, Self-Discovery and Gnostic Wisdom. But there is much, much more to learn.

There are some special / more advanced practices that are taught in the Teachers Course from time to time. But the main aim of the course, aside from delving deeply into the exercises of the previous courses (thereby gaining genuine esoteric experience) is to learn how to practice the Third Key - to learn how to help others spiritually and to teach.

It's an essential part of the inner work - helping others. And the discussions in the Teachers Course tend to be incredibly deep and inspiring - we can learn so much!

Yes, during Teachers course sometimes a new things are explained.

Besides what Amy and Mike mentioned, for me it's a very different level of learning, more available options to help yourself and others, more responsibility too.
It's more complex and advanced tool than the courses before, but in the same time, has much more potential to increase and to improve spiritual progress in comparison to the previous ones.

Yes, there are sometimes other techniques taught in the Teachers Course, not included in the books.

Again, though, the essential techniques are given in the Self-Discovery, Dreams and OBEs, and Gnostic Wisdom courses. In particular, it all boils down to practicing the Three Keys: eliminating the egos, practicing Alchemy, and helping others spiritually.

Personally I think the most important function of the Teachers Course is to help us in learning to teach, and in giving us tons of opportunities to get involved with the Third Key. This really brings Gnosis to life, because we are actively involved in helping give these teachings and we learn heaps and heaps about ourselves in the process.

Hi Earda,

I just wanted to mention that every practice requires a person to have a certain degree of understanding in order for it to be effective. That is the main reason why different practices are different courses as to make sure that these practices will benefit people instead of turning them away.

As for the questions about things such as alchemy you can post a question in the course forums and someone will be bale to help you.
