From personal experience I think so. Ever had a dream that was very emotionally intense or upsetting? You tend to feel very drained afterward, just as if you had experienced those egos during the day. So from experiences like this I would say yes.

Also, the death technique to eliminate egos does work in the astral too!

When egos manifest in us (psychological defects like anger, fear, hatred, pride, lust etc), they take our psychic energy and they get stronger, and we call this 'feeding'.

For example, you may wake up one morning and stub your toe as you get out of bed and get annoyed. Then you have no hot water for your shower and get more annoyed. Then on the way to work you get caught in traffic and get more frustrated still. Then at work you have a disagreement with someone and this negativity inside is growing really strong. Then you get home and something small happens and you explode in anger and have a fight with a loved one. This is an example of how egos have been 'feeding' all day and getting stronger and stronger. Typically after big outbursts of egos like this we feel very drained too.

Ah yes, that makes a great deal of sense. I can relate to the feeling of being drained after some dreams. It seems we really need to be working all the time to keep the egos from growing. But I suppose all we can do is try to do our best and improve. I have had experiences in dreams where I am doing the death to eliminate an ego when I wake up in a dream, so that makes a lot of sense too.

In the dreams we reflect as we do in the physical.
So when being aware here and now in the physical also we are like that in dreams. With feeding egos it is the same.
There are also dreams of teaching us, when we see an ego in dreams, usual this one needs our attention in the physical.

I remember seeing an entity in my dream yet can't quite remember its pertinence or identity.  Yet, intuition told me and I felt my astral body had experienced the presence of one.
