Taste of the Bay Area - Bookmark Advertising!
HELLO EVERYONE!
This round we have decided to take a new approach into gathering students!
Right to Left: Alejandro, Katie, Isaac and Rob
That's right BOOKMARKS!
I was approached by a gentlemen in a restaurant asking me if I would like a bookmark. What would you have said...? Exactly, so I took one! It was advertising his album release.
So we took advantage of the idea and decided to give it a go...
Free Bookmarks!
We have gone out to different parts of the Bay Area handing out flyers, bookmarks and putting up bookmark holders in bookshops and restaurants.
Here are the different materials.
Handing out bookmarks felt like planting seeds, or sending a message in a bottle who knows who will get a hold of them. We have placed the message into the universe. Now the different laws will unfold and those who are searching may find it in a book.

Hello Everyone! Yes, so far
Hello Everyone!
Yes, so far in terms of people taking them, it works really well. We had to put in efforts to make them look nice, so that people will find them interesting and useful.
They don't have any dates on them so that people will hang on to them and maybe one day they might have an experience and remember the bookmark, so we added a flyer that gave the dates and wrapped them around the bookmarks. That way they can toss the flyer and keep the bookmark.
I will keep you guys posted on the results this round.

It's interesting to see what you've done. I received a bookmark in my mail box just a couple of days ago and I thought it was a fantastic idea. I kept the bookmark even though at the moment we don't need the service they were advertising! I thought that it was to good to be disregarded.
Your bookmarks look very appealing and I love the artwork with the different colors.
