Taste of the Danforth - Toronto Street Extravaganza!

This weekend in Toronto (August 8-10, 2008), specifically on 'the Danforth' (otherwise known as GreekTown), there is a special 'Taste of the Danforth' festival. Well, being located on the Danforth, the Gnostic Centre will of course take advantage of the situation and join in the festivities!

We've got a table set up where we're having a mini-fundraiser with cold drinks and warm desserts on sale - not to mention great items from our Gift Shop - to help support The Gnostic Movement to continue to provide all of its classes and workshops free of charge.

In addition, we'll be giving a special (of course free) intro workshop on Dreams and Out-of-Body experiences this Sunday, from 4-5:30pm. For more information on this, see our homepage here. Hope to see you there on Sunday!

Setting up shop outside the Centre on the street. Note that it was so windy that we (and most other establishments) just couldn't get that table (or our hair :-) to settle. With lots of improvisation, eventually we were ready to go...

Christian, Jeff, and I invite you to take a flyer, one of the many thousands we'll have handed out by the time we're done...

So here I was handing out flyers, and I get approached by two cops who start asking me all sorts of questions about the flyers I'm handing out and who I am, etc... Well turns out that completely unlike I would have expected of the situation, one of them, John, has been attending the Mantra Meditation sessions for the past few weeks (to which I hadn't made it)! He volunteers as a police officer and was called in to help for this event, so he just came by to say hello :-) Dara, John, Jenny, Me, and Jeff pose for a shot we just had to get.
