Hello Everyone,

I've missed the skype talk again...does anyone wish to share with something important you've learned out of it?

All the best

Hi Vadim,

Edith gave the talk this Saturday. I found the talk really helpful. I'll share with some of the insights that I found really inspiring.

In general it was on 'patience and consistency'.
She mentioned how we might find ourselves in a way that we are putting efforts and practicing the techniques but we hardly get to see results. She said that we need to consider that results don't come suddenly but gradually. So even if we don't see any results whatsoever, it is better to keep going. We might see that we fail and make mistakes, but we should "start" again each day. We start again today, and practice the techniques, the inner work. If we failed and mistakes were done, then we "start" again the next day. We can keep going like this and then when we less expect it we will see the results. Matthew asked about the difference between that and the 'psychological night'. Edith said that it is different because in a 'night' one doesn't feel like doing anything, and sort of falls into a state of reacting to circumstance. But in this we are actually doing and practicing but results don't seem to come, but still we need to keep going.

Like this we actually see where the mistakes are being done, what we are failing with. She says that we need to realize that we are really in need to change; we are abominable creatures, really horrible persons with many defects. We are no saints or anything; we really need to change as we realize the horrible state that we are in.

She also mentioned the need for prayer and to be thankful and also ask for forgiveness. We have made mistakes and failed in many things, we need to ask for forgiveness for what we've done wrong. And be thankful for the opportunities that we have. This becomes sincere as we keep going, because as well as we realize the terrible state in which we are, we really need to ask, because without help we are really nothing, we can't do anything with the help given from the divine parents.

She also said how important is to share with what we find and what we are given, because if we keep it just to ourselves then it can be considered as something selfish. There is much suffering out there and we also have the personal responsibility to share with what we have been given. With the example of how we try something like, I don't remember what the exact example was, but if we try for example a fruit and it's a really good fruit, other people would like to try it too, so it would be selfish not to share it with others.

That is what I remember. To me it was really a very motivating talk.

All the best.

Thank you, Nadya!
Thank you, Mauricio!

Such a great inspiration just to keep working!

For me, seeing results motivates me to strive for more but a lack of expected results, especially in a long term, invokes disappointment and resentment...like I am trying for nothing and go to the wrong direction, wasting a precious time...

I guess that really the amount of the work to be done is so huge...and the results are always there even if they don't fit expectations and are not even seen.

I remember reading Greek legend about Orpheus, that he almost freed Euyridice out of the underworld.
The only condition for him to get her out of it was to keep walking and not to look back. She was supposed to follow him.
He was doing very well but almost in the end, he couldn't believe that she is still there, so he looked back and ruined the results of all his previous efforts...

Thanks again,

Are there transcripts of every talk somewhere? I only found two on Bezelbuub.com and Elizabeth had directed me, with a link, to a transcript from last week I couldn't find on my own.

Probably has something to do with the browser on this computer. If I'm at a library or something, then different things come up than when I use this one.

I listened to the program and even asked Edith a question, but I couldn't have given a better report than Mauricio. Or as good!

My question was, what about people who live in a city where there is no center, how much can they rely upon the on-line community? To me, that is my community. Well, these days Noah is in town and he is great to have around. We do various practices together and it does help. But I find quite a bit of help on Gnosticweb itself.

Sometimes I know I must sound fairly negative, but that's only the unbuttered side of the biscuit.

Judging from Edith's reply, if an opportunity to move to London or Montreal comes up, I should take it.

Oh, I see Apakhana...

If you'll come, it would be nice to see you, Scot!
I think that "when time comes", as a person moves forward with esoteric work, opportunities like that just start to appear at a certain stage...

Best wishes,
