It slows the metabolism & thus inhibits spirit perception. It takes 6/36hrs to fully digest beef now thats tuff... |

Don't know if this means anything, but I've noticed that fruit has an incredibly strong purple aura.

Master Samael states that it is helpful to eat red meat at a certain point on the path, since it contains energies necessary for sexual alchemy. Most people eat too much, though.

Hi, I'm new to Gnosticweb. Is coffee a low vibrational drink?

I don't know Shela...Gnosticweb courses don't explain it either...
Maybe both in some way?
Coffee seems to be helpful in order to stay alert psychologically. It seems to be ok in moderation for most of the people.
But if someone can't start a day without coffee, feels low while deprived from it, etc., then there is a problem. When a person has actually a problem with coffee, it's difficult to be honest enough to see it and then strong enough to change it.
All the best

Thanks Vadim. I do drink coffee, more than I should I suspect. I like cappuccino!! I'll try cutting down I think.

this is an opinion, and an intuition, but i don't see meat as being necessary whatsoever. the fear & overall situation 95%+ of animals are put through just lends that energy to the flesh.while samael might've said that, he also said all his books should be burned except for 5 of them...i wonder if this statement correlated to one of the ones he wanted destroyed? i'm not some food-nazi, i understand all people have their opinions, ideas, etc.but i just don't see how meat could ever be considered spiritual.

We are put into a human mammal body that requires we sustain ourselves by eating meat. Some choose not to, so to each their own.
The American natives understood the extremely spiritual nature of how the circle of everything sustains everything else. They revered their food and the animals were not scared to death and pumped full of chemicals they way they are today.
I see such major difference in awareness is the problem and not the actual consumption of meat in order to live.

It is obvious that we should not be eating animals that have been put to death through cruelty and greed. You can't buy store meat of any kind and get stuff that is free from this. For now, I've chosen to go back to being a vegetarian as much as I can.
Too bad the North American natives were wiped out through cruelty and greed. This is kind of a funny story. When I was in 7th grade, we were instructed to write an essay that was to say "Why I Love America". I remember this really striking me as hypocritical and wrote and essay entitled "Why I Hate America" (for maximum impact, I didn't really hate America). It had to do with how the land had been invaded and taken by force and the native people were robbed, killed, etc. My mom warned me and said "do you really want to enter this"? And I said yes, because I know it's right. Needless to say, my essay was not entered into the contest. lol But, at least I did not get into trouble, I just never heard about it or got it back.

People's opinions on meat vs no meat are different, it's not something we can resolve once and for all through logic, because the evidence at least biologically is not conclusive. Books upon books have been written arguing for and against eating meat, and both sides have a fair bit of evidence supporting that view. It's messy. And people's bodies are different.
Some people feel from experience that, spiritually, some meat is needed - the reasons for this are covered in the courses. Personally I never noticed anything - though just from personal preference, if I want to eat good food, if given the choice I'll go for the vegetarian dish every time. It's just better beyond comparison to me.
There are efforts being made in some countries (including Norway where I live) to try to make sure animals don't feel fear at the end of their life, in different ways (the reasons for this have very little or nothing to do with the 'energy' of the meat). I'm not sure how widespread this is though - yet. But it is possible to buy meat from animals that have been treated well. Humane treatment of animals is becoming increasingly important to people, so hopefully we'll see a positive development in this over the next years!
