Hey everybody, I recently spotted this book at a local bookstore called The Secret Teachings of All Ages by Manly P. Hall. It's been in print for nearly a century and it's quite the comprehensive tome. It has chapters on many of the figures and mysteries schools mentioned by VM Samael Aun Weor, VM Beezlebub, and Gnosticweb - like Hermes Trismegistus, Atlantis, Rosicrucianism, Egyptian schools, etc. I'm interested in picking this encyclopedia up, but I wonder if much of what's contained in the book is authentic or just information I can do without. Does anyone have any experience with this book or it's author Manly P. Hall? Thank you! Here are some links for further info: |

Hi Alex,
I've bought it a long time ago and yes, it does have a lot of information about esoteric and mystical traditions from all around the world and it has some quiet interesting illustrations with a symbols.
In comparison to the works of Masters imo it is full of intellectual speculations about how things could be and attempts to use mind to fill the gaps here and there without direct experience.
I am sure that it has many mistakes. This book is also quiet expensive, isn't it?
All the best,
