What Has Gnosis Done for Me?

painting: Pietà by William Bouguereau
What has Gnosis done for me? It has given me life, it has given me a very real opportunity to escape the fate of the animal, that's something huge.
Master, you have given me a real chance at life, for which I can never repay you.
We might tend to think we found Gnosis because we deserve it, because we are so great we were ready for it, or whatever, but that isn't true. Real Gnosis has been given us freely. Real men suffer for us and die for us, while we sit around thinking we're special, that we've done anything at all. We are supported by you Master and the Masters who came before you, each link in the chain is supporting us, without you all, we are nothing.
And thank you Edith for the talk today and to all who give their lives to this work.

So truth. In the rare and brief moments of alertness I see it the same way Jim. We too often perceive ourselves as the centre of the Universe and habitually expect and even demand things. So inconsiderate!
I pray for a better memory so I do not easily forget the war within and so I remember to say thankyou Father more often, even though I will say it in my own childish and imperfect way.
I really do like your Blogs

Peace and Love
Yes, me too, there is a
Yes, me too, there is a cloud of egos, but underneath I am so grateful for Master and Edith, and all the teachers, students, everyone who helped me in this searh for Gnosis, search for the truth.
Sometimes some of my friends who are not really interested in spiritual work ask me if I can tell them about the results I've acheived so far. When I look inside for the best answer to give, usually it is something like: "I have not done much yet, just starting, but I think that in the last few years with Gnosis I've learned much more than in my whole previous life before".
Thanks Jim for your inspiring blog, as always.
"Each Link in the Chain of Immortals provides one more grain to alleviate the load of whoever is coming behind, but each soul who ventures in this unique task is an original experiment of Life in order to make this planet Earth also a World of Divine Vigilance.
Each man (I am sure that it should apply to woman too, of course) who aspires to this vigilance must uncover his own track and march alone, attentive only to the step of the instant, without preoccupying with triumph or defeat, without worrying about his earthly end.
This is to live in the Eternal Now.
Otherwise, the experience of Man upon planet Earth wouldn't have any value."
from "The Flight of the Feathered Serpent" by Armando Cosani
Thanks Jim Your thoughts
Thanks Jim
Your thoughts really put it into perspective. The thought of the realness of the Masters is quite helpful. It says what they had to do in order to do the things we hear about. It also tells us how any of us are capable of acheiving mastery.
I was wondering where you got that picture from. It is quite unique in christian symbolism. the highlight being Mary Magdelene?
All the Best

I am really grateful that I was able to find out about things I haven't even imagined before and just lately I could see there is some change within me and the dark clouds are going away bit by it. And it feels wonderful!!
