What are Chakras? How many chakras do we have? What are the colours which are associated to them if ever they have? Are they associated with any planets? Shabbeer

Hi SHABBEER,
Chakras are described in Belzebuub's book as the senses of the astral body. There are seven basic chakras, but there much more smaller ones.I'm not really sure about the colours, what I've read in other sources is that yellow corresponds to the solar plexus chakra (3rd), heart charka - green, throat chakra- blue, 6th chakra - purple, 7th- white.
As for their connection with the planets I don't know, but I think Samael has mentioned something about it in some of his books.
good luck.

I think it's this:
1 Base of the spine - Red
2 Naval - Orange
3 Solar Plexus - Yellow
4 Heart - Green
5 Throat - Blue
6 In-between eyes and on the forehead (third eye) - Violet
7 Crown, top of the head - Golden/white
As for their functions, many different sources claim many different uses, but I will try to piece together some functions from my own experiences based on sensing the chakras and observing my aura at certain times (Remember, this is MY OWN observations only, and are very likely to be incorrect or subject to some changes):
1 Basic functions
2 Sex energy
3 Unsure, but possibly vitality
4 Emotions and/or vitality/balance
5 Unsure, but possibly related to activity somehow
6 Very widely considered the chakra responsible for psychic abilities and insight
7 Link to the spiritual (whatever that means)

Most sources I have encountered, and it seem the most accurate to me, though wouldn't know for sure... Is that the crown has a violet/purple color. Doing a search now however on images, I found most images of the chakras showing crown as violet/purple, though a few with white color. Perhaps also good to be aware of the possibility that the colors might differ somewhat due to the development of the chakra (more brilliant in color with higher development etc?):
Also if I am not misstaken, once encountered a source stating that the golden aura around the head in christian and religious paintings... Is originally based on the high development of the "band" that exists around the head in relation to the 3rd eye and crown chakras. I am not 100% sure of the details of this statement, so take it with a grain of salt, and was also only one statement... But that there exists an energetic band around head which is connected to the 3rd eye and crown, that is true...

The most significant aspect of chakras as per the teachings here is what we can get out of activating them, the use of mantras to activate chakras is covered in the Gnostic Wisdom course so I'd recommend that course to learn more. Pure vowels and also different mantras activate different chakras and can activate psychic faculties like clairvoyance and intuition - the course goes into all this more. If you practice certain mantras you can tell where the chakras are, how they work, and the effects of them when they are active.
