I saw it on The Gadget Show here in the UK... It's a game where people can push a ball up an incline by increasing their concentration and relaxation. It's massively expensive but I thought some of you guys might find it interesting.

Their website is http://www.vivifeye.com/mindball/index.html

Sounds like it could be a useful concentration tool. Maybe we'll all have one in 10 years or so ;)

Goodness me, you weren't kidding when you said it was expensive... Very interesting though, thanks for sharing!

Maybe we can buy one with our newfound $10 trillion :-)

"Mindball Game is an extraordinary demonstration of the power we have over our thoughts. Two (or more) players compete to control the ball by becoming more relaxed and more focussed. The better they do, the more likely they are to score a "goal".

The way it works is that the Mindball headbands record the level of Alpha and Theta waves being produced by each player. These waves have been demonstrated by scientists to correspond to focus, relaxation and creativity.

The player who can gain more control over her or his Alpha and Theta waves, wins the game. Most players find that the feedback from the game enables them to control their thoughts to an extent that amazes them."

So basically - chill and focus, and the thing moves.

Since it depends on concentration as well as relaxation (sound familiar? ;) you would likely auto-lose if you fell asleep, as your concentration would be so abysmal as to fall into the subconscious. If you concentrated while falling asleep, however...
