Geno,
All techniques enabling astral projection require good concentration skills. Without concentration we have very limited chances of inducing an astral projection. To my knowledge, Monroe’s techniques are just another methods of silencing and focusing the mind. Whether you will focus the mind on your breathing, heartbeat, countdown etc it all comes down to good concentration skills. I guess everyone could make up own concentration technique.
As advised in the courses, I would stick to one technique taught in the courses and give it a 100% effort and practice it sincerely until I get some results. There is no point of jumping from one technique to another, because I believe that weakens the will strength.
From my limited experience I see that consistency and will strength are vital in achieving the set of goals. Sometimes, when we feel stuck, it is good to reflect on the progress made so far and to ask sincerely whether we have been putting a sufficient amount of effort in and whether our daily priorities are right.
Good luck with astral projections and may the Force be always with you.

Suave is correct. There are no "superior" or "easy" techniques in Astral Projection. The two most fundamental factors remain the same throughout ever technique; concentration, and relaxation. Without them, any technique is just a waste of time.

I read that book and liked it alot. Everyone is right when they say you need to concentrate in order to get anywhere with anything though.
After using his techniques I had my first willed experience. That is why I suggest his material alot but as many people have made use of others' work just as well. The 90 degree reach technique seems to just be a forced focus from the 3rd eye point.
One thing that I noticed in Monroe's work is the technique that correlates to Samael Aun Wero's "Anahat sound" where you listen to that high-pitched whir in your head. According to Monroe it takes only 3 minutes of cencentrating on it for him and you pop out but everyone's different.
I don't know, try it and see.
Good luck! (...more like "practice hard!")

Hi Geno,
Basicly the only technique I know from here is "countdown" which is very simple, it involves counting down from any number you choose until you get to zero...then you start again :)
If I remember correctly "90 degree reach out technique" is described somewhere on the end of this book. I think I skiped that part because it seems overly complicated (it stretches over 2-3 pages if i remember correctly). Would be great if someone could post a simplified version of that technique.
Other techniques you mentioned (log roll; breathing jaw; 1-20/LQ) I haven't came across. Can you point the pages on which these techniques are mentioned?

In regards to the 90 degree technique, I think it is important to keep in mind the circumstances in which he explained about that technique. That technique is given in his first book, in which his understanding and experience of getting out of body, and what was involved was quite "limited" (relatively speaking comparable to other two books). If I am not misstaken he even writes in the book that he does not know why it works, only that it does...
From what I understand as well, it does not seem like he used that technique much or at all in the two sequential books, in which he had more experience. In thos books he usually referred to more basic ways of getting out, involving just pure concentration (counting etc).
My guess is that the triangular technique is something he stumbled upon while trying to find a way to recreate the split... And this technique helped him to remain concentrated while at the same time created a good level of focus away from the physical body. The technique itself is not really that important. Most people cannot recreate it anyways due to the complex nature of the explaination of that technique.

Thank you all who commented, and sorry for replying so late ( I didn't have an internet where I was).
Hi stanovnik,
Again, sorry for replying like 6 days later, I can get you the pages tomorrow if you're still interested. I just got back from a trip and i'm really jet lagged right now.
