What would you do with the money? In terms of world development? And i don't mean "giving to charity" i mean what helpful things would YOU do if it counted on you to help at least spark a change for the best in the world? I know I've been really quiet on these forums but I'd really like to hear what you guys have to say. |

Hey There,
That depends on how I stumbled across the money, : )
If the money was given to me as a gift or what have you. I would help the Gnostic Movement build a permanent retreat location in one of the Countries. This way all the students would have a place to train and gain strength all year round no matter when there vacation dates might be.
Also help set up a centre. In other countries, help with advertising. Production costs.
This would all go toward helping to spread this information to the world, that way others can have access to it and will be able to change, and you know if we all start to change individually then the world will change. Those in the world can't change if they don't know how.
Thanks,
Ruben

so just spiritual edification? No help to go towards the abused, the injured, the poor, the downtrodden, drug addicts, rape victims?

^^ that's what i'm looking for tbh.. I mean I'm sure you could set up some pretty nice centers around the world... but 10..trillion dollars...
Like what would you actually do? that's what i'm wanting to see. What exactly would you put the money into? I mean it doesn't have to be that specific but it's just interesting to see what people write.

First off: Centres - more, bigger, better. Permanent retreat locations. Expos. Widespread advertising for the teachings, websites and centres, and further development of the websites. There's a lot that could be done to help spread the teachings and one limiting factor is obviously money, so yes I'd spend the money on that. I'm not even sure how many zeros there are in 10 trillion but I doubt if it would cost that much to make sure practically everyone had access to the teachings.
Besides that, I would spend the money on projects to help developing countries, focusing on covering basic needs for everyone. Nutrition, water, health care... There are so many diseases where vaccinating 1 person costs X dollars and the disease could be eradicated altogether if only we were willing to commit the money to make it happen. It is just ridiculous, when you think about it, that people are actually dying from preventable diseases and starving when there should be enough food. Also, funding for medical research into diseases like cancer, Parkinson's disease, AIDS, etc.
It's an interesting situation even though it's never going to happen, but with the right commitment to these causes and a willingness to make the necessary adjustments, we could do so much, without needing to stumble upon astronomical sums of money :-)

Brutually honestly, the way my inclinations lie at the moment:
~ Shelters for battered and abused women, education/rehab/counselling for them
~ Shelters for abused and neglected animals, dogs specifically, but other species too.
~ Psychological research.

if it were me (bluntly) and please dont mind my arithmetic, trillion dollars must be very much so i would start with my very own country and use the budget to upgrade the salary of all government employees, sociologists do not buy it that poverty plays a big factor why corruption is commonplace.... yes it may be a question of morality too but one needs to be there to get the picture.. when govt worker is earning right wage then there'll be less clamour if leaders use iron fist to stop corruption... all the seminars and anti corruption projects will not be in vain ...
- employment opportunities so graduates will not flee from our country (that should lessen the crime rate let's hope)
- empowerment of our agriculture and wildlife
- planting more trees
- i hope gnosis should be included in curriculum or introduce at an early age, could be part of religion subject, that could boost the people's morality rate giving us moral leaders.

Money is just an illusion in the earth I would say. Spiritual path and gnostic work is the best a human being can stumble across and worth living for. If at all I get this loads of money I would maybe ask heavens up to guide me to do the right thing.
Much strength to all,

10 trillion is a near unlimited amount of money. I don't think anyone could spend that in a lifetime if they tried. Off the top of my head, I would collaborate with hundreds of other people personally to make sure that the money gets as far and wide as it needs to be.
Although, there's only so much money can achieve. Even an unlimited amount is not enough to fix this Earth and the people on it.

Interesting responses. Most of you put that you would help the gnostic movement most above all else. Now my question for you.. Is the gnostic movement that high on the priority list that it would consume all these resources? I mean $10 trillion is a lot of money.. one could probably achieve a very close result to what some of you are looking for with much less so is this really at the TOP of the list? Also, do you really think that people are ready for such a movement? I don't want to stereotype any religions or insult anyone on here, but when you think of a Jahovas witness what is the first pops up in your mind? Do you think people would take the movement seriously? I mean lets face it, the reality of things is that although our world is changing people are still very skeptical about anything that isn't in their norm and if we were to play our cards wrong, a lot of money and resources would be wasted. I would have thought that the responses on here would lean more towards education and healthcare but i find it very interesting what holds priority and i'd be fascinated to find out why exactly you feel this way.

I would invest in education, but only on the basis that real morals and ideals are taught instead of useless facts and qualifications being handed out.
I wouldn't promote the Gnostic movement, however, as that would bring negative attention our way. Religions, political groups, media, etc.
I don't know if I would donate to any of the Gnostic center's, as I haven't been to one and don't know what they're like. I suppose, looking at a map, more center's could be useful in mainland Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Northern Europe, Western Asia, Northern Canada, Southern U.S and Northern UK (bias on my part ;).
