Im new to gnostic web. I used to play music with a guy that would talk about the gnostics in fact his band was called gnostic finger, he was involved with the mysticism and the occult. Crowelly and others. He had a room in his house with four little picture frams on the floor in the centers of the was with glasses of sand, sea water and two other elements if i remember right. please forgive my ignorance, how does mysticism or magic play a role in the life of a gnostic. |

Hi Spurgin88,
Our whole life can become mystical when a spiritual work is taken up by a person because when we enter the world of Out of body experiences (OBE's) and awakening consciousness we open ourselves to elements or things that are not normally seen in a daily more normal life.
You can meet spiritual beings while having an out of the body experience for example or go to places that are mystical in nature & theres alot more to it than that too.

Welcome to Gnosticweb.
A true Gnostic lives spirituality by experience. Always searching for knowledge in a first hand way of themselves and the universe. When this is achieved even in a small or incipient aspect it is incredibly profound. One could say that when it is working well it is truly magical and mystical, yet not in the way of making people disappear or pulling rabbits out of thin air. Its something that really has to be experienced to be able to be known.
