Hey everyone!,

It's "Raven" again (Jamie) haha. Well Iwas just thinkin today...I had my first LONG Astral projection last night...Ive had them before & Ive had tripps off of various psychadelics but this was....lets just sa thought inspiring more than the others...& before u read this keep in mind that I am kinda wiccan/atheist (I go back & forth) so I dont believe in a heaven or a hell...But last night 's ap actually made me believe that there is an afterlife!!

Because in an ap dont u concentrate But relax to lower your brain frequencies? & that sends u into another dimension, the astral dimension. Well if u think about it ppl also have OBE's in NDE's (Near death experiences) & couldnt that be cause b their brain frequencies slowing from them being near death? Well whenever you die u lose all brain frequencies....so couldnt that be like a failsafe of the physical bod? So that whenever your physical body dies it auto ejects your soul into another dimension?! I mean if the astral plain is also the afterlife...then I have absolutely no fear of dying! I mean...if u think about it...that's when ur life REALLY begins! free of restrictions, including time & Gravity?! That would be bliss!

Thanx to everyone that actually stayed to read!

All the best...

Hi Raven :)

That's great that you learned so much from your astral experience. Learning things there is the best use of time in the astral, if you ask me.

I think that's a great point about NDE's happening after the brain frequencies are gone.

It's hard for me to understand why we were all born on this planet without knowing why we are here and what happens next. Not knowing certaintly gives that extra push to look for answers though.

I'm still not convinced that we just go into the astral when we die for the rest of eternity. I mean, it would be nice, but what if there's more to it than that? I'm certain that there are answers out there, we just have to find them. I think the astral is a good place to start.

I hope you get out again soon!

Hi,

i have to try for hours sometimes too. Other times things occur within a short time. I learned not to force anything, and I learned the hard way. Forcing it makes it more difficult.

Sometimes I just get up and then try again later. Maybe hat might help 'ya too.

Keep it up!

Hi Jamie

On the topic of afterlife and near death experiences, there are great interviews by Belzebuub on his website. Here is a link if you are interested http://www.belzebuub.com/movies

Not being able to get past the paralysis and body tingling is common when you start out, so not to worry. Instead try spending more time getting into a nice relaxed state and watch out for over eagerness that can sometimes force things instead of letting the experience happen through being concentrated on just one thing.

All the best,

Layla

Three hours is a long time to practice. It sounds like you are really determined, which can get you far! :)

Still, something must be going on if you find yourself awake for that long while practicing. What do you think is keeping you awake? How is your concentration level when this happens?

Ah...that could be problematic :)

Well, if it's any consolation, it sounds like a common problem that a lot of people, including myself, have had to deal with. I forced the practice so much when I first started that my arms physically hurt. I didn't get very far with projecting doing it that way and it made me feel resentful toward the practices.

Try taking a more natural, relaxed approach. That will help to bring on the sleep quicker and the astral and physical bodies can seperate more easily this way.

Interesting post. It is amazing how one's perspective on death changes with an OBE; but the fear of death is much more difficult to vanquish, it doesn't go away with one mystical experience.
Beware of theories about the universe and things like that.
Also, don't think that it's all fun and games in the astral. Often we are helped to be clear at first, but the egos quickly take us out of the objective astral and bring us in to dreams. A lot of inner work must happen before we can really experience the astral objectively and consistently.
What Gabrielle said is important, take the practice in a relaxed fashion, don't force it. Think of it as allowing concentration instead of concentrating. That being said, I find it helps to be alert and aware. So relaxed, but not sleepy relaxed.
