It was my birthday yesterday, and for my birthday someone (not sure who) from the white lodge decided to give me some esoteric teachings in my dreams. I was not awake, however, and my mind chattered on and made a jumble of everything I heard, and in the morning I could recall nothing of what I had been told, and only a few distorted symbols. What a waste to be so asleep for such a gift! Don't forget how important it is to be aware. |

Hi Julian, happy birthday!
Funny you post that, a similar situation presented itself to me not too long ago.
I took it as a lesson that I was not working on being aware enough. So there's always at least that lesson even if I wasn't aware enough of the entire teaching.

Hi Julian
Happy birthday for the other day.
I find that it can also happen if you fall into a heavy sleep after the experience. You may find that sometime later that day or even the next day something may trigger your memory of that experience and that trigger helps you to recall certain things that seemed forgotten.
Looking on the bright side you you did capture a few things from your experience that I'm sure will help you to move forward from there :)
All the best!

Yes, I took it the same way, Apakhana, and I rather suspect that's the way it was intended. I somehow can't shake the feeling that it was a sort of joke-lesson, poking fun at my mental state.

Happy Belated Birthday, Julian!
Well, maybe you lost the memory of it, but still gained the wisdom from the teaching :)
Thanks for the reminder!

Thanks Julian for sharing. Having access even here in the physical to these teachings is an extremely rare opportunity that is easily wasted if we aren't aware! I was in a similar situation I can recall, I was helped to become aware and so I invoked a Master, he came, I gave him a hug, and he started looking around telling me things, and I was standing there babbling to myself about something, and then I realized he was saying something and I thought "uh oh maybe I should be paying attention" then he said "yeah you should be paying attention".

This reminds me of a similar experience.I wanted to meet a Master.I didn't believe in that Master back then but he came to give me a teaching. I was laughing like an idiot though because I still didn't believe in him and he left. I haven't managed to see Him again.
That's why I am sure that to doubt is OK but when doubt is based on pride it is only a nonsense.

You're right, doubt is natural, but it is an animal psyche's denial response to back up pride. In my experience I realized I knew nothing, and for myself to believe or doubt anything is being ignorant and presumptuous.
Belief and doubt are the same thing - accepting truth without direct experience while presuming one's mistaken opinon is valid.
If anyone believes anything, then they do not comprehend gnosis at all.
The key for me, is neither in belief or doubt, but to accept that anything is possible and be aware and ready for it. To attach oneslef to the teaching of anyone else without direct knowledge of the truth, is very dangerous.
