Brisbane Fundraising Night

Recently there was a fundraising event held at the Brisbane Gnostic Centre in Paddington. The night consisted of a viewing of the National Geographic Gospel of Judas and a tasy array of snacks and refreshments to start.

The food layed out the night begins and people begin to arrive.

The night got off to a bumpy start with the projector going on an unofficial strike yet Cameron managed to come up with a contingency plan on short notice. Between a few extra cups of tea and great conversation no one seemed to mind to much.

With the technical glitches out of the way and everyone ready Chris gave an introduction to the Documentary.

The night was a great success and thankyou to all who were able to show up. Special thanks to Sarah and Dimmi for the scrumptious supply of culinary delights and big thanks to Cameron for coming to the rescue in regards to the technical hiccups. A fact I am sure will have a few people nodding in familiarity.

Hey Adam,

Sounds like it was very nice : ) I have not seen that one yet, but definitely has my interest.

And yes, we've also had our fair share of projector strike, and then appeased. They have a mind of their own.

Hello Adam, thanks for

Hi Adam, The centre looks

Hi Adam,

The centre looks nice with the all the lovely pictures & the curtain behind the back wall (the wall behind Chris where he's giving he's talk) has a good style to it, very grand.
The framed picture in the kitchen which shows a picture from the flight of the feathered serpent, I think it's a picture showing full consciousness, I noticed that it's framed there and I was wondering if there's any way of gaining a copy of that picture so I can have one for home. When I saw that picture in the book I wished I could have a copy to put up on the computer as a screen saver so I can study it when taking a break from the web.

All the best
Steve

Hello Steve, Yes the Centre

Hello Steve,

Yes the Centre is decorated with quite a lovely array of esoteric art. Some of the more senior trainee teachers put in a lot of effort to do the place up and find a lot of the art that is seen.

The picture you are referring to is indeed the one out of the Flight of the Feathered Serpent. From what little I know it is only held by Teachers and printed for Centre displays or student purchases (this money going into donations). I don't think that the file would be released generally due to copyright and piracy issues but if you get in contact with a Center near you they may be able to make a print for you.

All the best,
Adam
