The bit where he talks about making a choice. There are points in your life where you get a choice and you can go in two directions, one where you will learn spiritually, the other where you will not. I recently got the choice of traveling to two countries and I am going to live in one of them for a few months. But I am pretty certain it was the wrong choice. It just doesn't feel right, now that I'm going. In fact I actually had a very significant dream about the other country. But I can't go back now! This is driving me crazy because I know that I've let myself down by choosing the easy option! Maybe I think too much? |

Hi Elliot,
I would not worry too much. Probably, like most of us, you have not got enough direct spiritual knowledge and experience to always make a right choice and to follow your gut feeling. It takes time and effort to build confidence in trusting your intuition. Instead of worrying, better focus on the present moment since opportunities to learn are everywhere; maybe also consider increasing the time designated for daily practices.
May the Force be with you.

Hi Elliot,
This could be a big learning opportunity, if you are getting a strong feeling that you have made the wrong choice but can't now change it. I'm not being ironic or anything. It's when these "worst of all possible results" come down on us and there is no escape, that's when we HAVE to learn something. Life goes on no matter if we have made the right or wrong choice and we learn from our mistakes better than anything. That doesn't mean you shouldn't regret your choice - the regrets are super motivators to really learn-so-you-won't-go-there-again.
On the other hand, each and every day allows lots of room to look for and find the subtle traces of grace, and these are everywhere for those who have the eyes to see them. For this, there is no wrong city or country or hey, universe. As for the wrong place and the wrong time - been there, done that. Do you know the Dr. John the Night Tripper song, Musta bin da Wrong Place?
I don't know if that's the exact title. Anyway, I wish you the best wherever you end up. Your inner Master is probably working on you and you are working on your inner Master so it's going to be okay

Most of our work is a learning process. Learn how to make choices by making a couple wrong ones here and there and be conscious when suffering their outcomes.
I am reminded of a Smithsonian article about how our brains rewire themselves to make us stronger when we pick the hard route over the easy route.

Hi
You might surprise yourself. It may not be that bad. It may be better than you think. Thats what happens to me.

Hi Elliot,
You can ask for forgiveness and the chance to make the situation right. Try to be really sincere about it and then be open to the opportunities that may present themselves. As you wait, you can work on thoroughly understanding and eliminating the egos (if you know the techniques) that led to the wrong decision. By eliminating the source of the problem, you are less likely to make the same mistake when the opportunity presents itself again. It also shows the Divine that you are ready for the situation to arise again so that you can move forward.
Much strength,
Gabrielle
