Dear anyone who reads this

I am new to this astral projection course, I am very exited about starting on the next round!! I have been studying astral projection for the past 5 or so years but I have not got much results (mostly because I have only actually tried it a few times LOL)

I find myself easily able to almost instantly deeply relax to the point of not being able to feal my limbs. however once I get there I usualy end up just waiting until I get frustrated to the point of giving up. and when I feel like I can easily seperate, I end up actually moving a limb and breaking the trance. : (  (however Im ABSOLUTLEY CERTAIN, that astral projection is real and that I can do it, ( I just need som practice )

I was wondering, when I listen to music I can instantly concentrate on just the sound without a flicker of deviation, could I possibly use music as a vice for concentration? or would I be waisting my time? has anyone out there ever done this?

Thank you all so much for your help !

Hi Adam, Keep trying it sounds like your on the right path, just don't stress out and try too hard. I find i do the same thing and end up frustrated and just roll over and go to bed. The times it has worked, it's worked effortlessly. In regs to the music, only one way to find out... try it.... it may be what you need for it to work. Good Luck!

Hey Adam,
You can use anything to concentrate on for projection although you are much better using something that you can concentrate on internally. Like visualization of a place or a heartbeat ect.

Because music is always changing, projecting might not be the easiest. Having said that, when practicing concentration it can be good to do a different type of concentration exercise and to mix it up a bit. I use music sometimes, its good to discipline the mind and keep it on the one thing. Although i think we are better off not needing to rely on external inputs to gain focus, rather relying on the concentration of our own mind.
Hope that helps :)

hello,

It seems that all the exercises are just used as tools which are made condusive to learn about concentration, so as long as it is helping you keep focous, then go for it and experiment so u can understand the stages of how projection takes place.  Personaly i have found that any music which dosn't stir emotion is your best bet such as classical and instrumental.

Hi Adam

I agree with you in that I know you can do it and need practice. I have done what you said, a few times instead of spiritually getting out, I physically move and it has ended. I will have to keep reminding myself of not doing that. I have tried music and it does not work for me but you say you can instantly concentrate on it so I would try it. Give it a go, no harm in that.

Hi Adam,

I like a lot listening to music as concentration practices. In order to really listen to melody, as it goes from note to note, demands staying in present moment, it requires focused attention.
And spiritual music such as many works by Beethoven, Mozart, Vivaldi, Bach, etc, can help by itself to activate consciousness.

If it seems to work well for you, well, it may be great to investigate furher how well can you concentrate on it.
Practices usually give the best answers on these kind of questions.

Deep relaxation is an essential component of astral projection process, adding up concentration should make it happen...and it may occur when it is the least expected...

Good luck!

Wow, Thanks for all of you wonderful replies, they are all very helpful and motivational.

Yes, the reason I ask is because I am concert flautist (by profession) and when I listen to any of the Mozart flute concertos my mind instantly locks into the notes, however this can sometimes be a bad thing because my fingers often involuntarily twitch.

I cannot wait to join all of you in the astral courses, (and the astral plane for that matter) by the way, does anyone know when the courses start?

And yes Vadim, the works of Beethoven's pastoral symphony, the two Mozart flute concertos, and in particular the emperors waltz by Strauss were the ones I was referring to. However I agree with you that Vivaldi's music would be particularly suited for concentration as his music Is the most mathematical of all the composers.

Again thank you all for all of your encouragement I hope to see you soon.

Is that an opinion or a fact?

This Is fact. Vivaldi lived in a time in which the public zeitgeist was that of discovery. mathematicians and scientists reigned suprime during that era!

Also don't take my word for it, listen and study it yourself. vivaldis music is not much so focused on self expression as it is on beautifull complex (and therefor mathematical) patterns. try this, go to youtube and look for vivaldis mandolin concerto in C, then after you have listend to that, listen to the C major piccolo concerto, now once you have listened to bolth of those listen to "la fille aux cheveux de lin" by debussy, debussy lived in the impressionist period that was tipically foucused on self expression. alot of vivaldis are based on weaving patterns like up three down a 5th hold three up one repeat, those simple mathematical expressions are called "the perl" of vivaldis genious.

Now why I say that this would be particularly suited for concentration is that mathematical sounding music is easyer for the mind to grasp on to, or easyer to keep your attention locked on to. while flowing melodic music tends to make the mind wander in search of emotional-memory related interpretation.for example it is a lot easyer to concentrate focusdley on a painting of faceless stick fogures lined up evenly in a row than it is to focus on the starry night by van gogh.

If you would like any reccomendations for vivaldian music then I would be happy to give some
