A Great Visit to "Omphalos" of Earth!

We would like to share with you our wonderful visit in Delfi, the Omphalos of Earth (In Greek, the word omphalos means "navel").

It was a sunny Saturday, before 2 days, when we began our trip from Greek center of Athens to Delfi.

Our goal was to find symbols in this ancient place, in the temples, on stones, everywhere...When we arrived in the archaeological place of Delfi we discussed about symbolism in ancient Greece and we set also a goal to try to find the meaning of what is the aim of symbols in ancient Greece, why ancient greeks used this communication in order to pass their ideas, mystic information etc..

So let's share with you our adventure!!

A tourist guide informed us that the all main bases of the columns of Apollo's Temple were consisted of 12 big stones...

Kostas told us to take a glance to the temple...

As we can see some symbols again on the Athena's Temple where there is a mythological representation of Centaur and Amazons.

Out of the museum we saw something that was very symbolic for all of us...

After our visit in the archaeological place of Delfi we felt that symbols have a special meaning for all of us.

We felt that if somebody wants to take the meaning of a symbol must be in a suitable psychological situation and be present in the moment...

We felt that there is something common between the reason of existing symbols in the ancient civilizations and the symbols who someone can see in his dream...
