Hello Moon,
There is certain characteristic of pork that taken in any amount is harmful for the spiritual work. The answer to why is probably not appropriate for the public forums but is covered in the courses.
In short, it's basically best to avoid it in any amount and in any form.
All the best,
Adam.

Yeah even with vegetarian pizzas, the bread and/or cheese is likely to have pork in it.
In most big cities you can find a halal or kosher pizza shop, neither groups can eat pork in any way, so their pizza is safe. Or you can make your own :) There is a place called "The Fresh Market" here where we buy frozen kosher New York pizza. It's a whole already-cooked kosher cheese pizza from a place called Eddy's in New York, they cook it then freeze it and ship it, only takes 5 minutes in the oven to heat and voilà! fresh kosher NY pizza in AL.

This is the site I use to find out more about ingredients, you'd be surprised some of the things that could be pork-derived.

thank you Jim thats helpful. I was just wondering about it really, so you mean we have to be careful in choosing the kind of cheese too... and hotdogs too?
what about some vegetable dishes that have bits of pork with it, you know sometimes in my workplace I ordered vegetable dish sauted with some meat, is the vegetable safe to eat even when i leave out the meat i.e. pork? not to sound fanatic or whatever, i am really concerned about it and yes i'm gonna check the link you gave, thank you.

Just thought I'd mention that cheese doesn't necessarily contain pork. It might, but the likelihood of this varies from country to country I imagine. Many kinds of cheese have no pork in them whatsoever and are perfectly ok to eat.
I've never had a problem with cheese myself, though I'm not particularly sensitive to pork, but I know people who can notice straight away if they've had pork, but can eat cheese and non-pork ready made pizzas just fine.
As far as bread goes, by Norwegian standards it's pretty much always pork-free. Anything else would be very odd indeed.

Hi Moon,
What you say makes a lot of sense to me.
It can be easy to become submerged into worries and sense pork everywhere, but from another hand even a tiny amounts of it have a very powerful and lasting negative effect on consciousness.
I was hungry more than a few times and tried to compromise by taking bacon out of salade, or meat out of pizza...was very careful to take all of it out...and it never worked for me!
Always there has been an effect.
Like it was mentioned, "HALAL" and "KOSHER" stamps make a life easier, usually Indian food is free of pork, vegetarian comunity contributes to it too, I know that at least in American and European markets there are products totally free from any meat ingredients.
Also with experience it's possible to learn how to refuse taking suspicious food in a nice polite way...but not easy sometimes!
If there is a certain problem which occurs continuously, it is likely to be shown in a dreams; and certainly intuition can produce that subtle "DON"T" feeling and help to avoid contamination.
For those who are new to it and wonder what's wrong about pork, Belzebuub explains its effect in "Secret Knowledge, Hidden Wisdom" book, and it is explained in the Gnostic Wisdom course as well.
All the best!

Moon,
If you want to really know the benefits of no-pork, then yes you have to avoid it altogether, in any way, shape, or form. It might seem to be nearly impossible at first, because you'll realize there are many things that you've been eating that you can't eat anymore, but firstly it is worth it, and secondly you get used to looking for what you can and can't eat. The kosher symbols can help a lot, because if it's kosher it can't have any kind of pork at all in it. Here is a list of some certified kosher symbols:
http://www.yrm.org/koshersymbols.htm
There are kosher beef hot dogs. Try the brand "Hebrew National," they're great :)
I just make sure to always bring my lunch, that has its rewards not only on health but also on the wallet.
Basically the way I learned to avoid it was, understanding what could possibly be derived from pork, making a list out to carry with me, then if a food item has a "questionable ingredient" in it, then check to see if it's kosher certified. So to be "safe" it needs to be either no questionable ingredients, or kosher certified. I actually tend to look for the kosher symbol first, that way if I see it then I know I don't have to hyper-examine the ingredients (except to avoid some other things I like to avoid). But if there's no kosher symbol then I go straight to the ingredients list and check for "questionable" ingredients. That simple.
Glad to be of help :)
I also have to add, out of all the Gnostic practices, this is one I wish I had taken more seriously earlier on.

Thanks, Jim. The links are great. Ive been checking them out...I actually had a bad experience a while back where I had bought all beef sausages, and I had checked to make sure they had no pork, but I got too confident with the all-beef on the front, so i didnt check well enough to notice that the casing od the sausages was pork! I ate them and well...the pork did its thing. I didnt realize it was that until much later on...truly, the horrors of pork become noticeable only when you begin to change yourself.
I cant belive i went so long eating it no problem, but now even the smell of it gets to me. Thanks again for the info, I didnt know about the Kosher symbols, thats awesome (I laugh out loud at the label on the Hebrew International: We answer to 'a Higher Authority') I found a big K today on Jello, i think...it wasnt like the ones on the website, but still a K....I hope its not bad :o/

Just to add on to all the helpful information so far. Many products (in Australia anyway) have a free call contact number on food stuffs that you can call and make inquiries into ingredients. They are usually very helpful if you are not sure.
All the best,
Adam.
