Absolutely. If:

-The context is that the archon see's entire reality through the self whose nature is that of limited consciousness, rather than through the essence whose nature is that of transcendence beyond the limited operation of the self.

By using the faculties of perception available via the consciousness, through realization he would behold the rest of the stream in it's entirety, not just the tiny drop of reality, the limit of what the self can only behold.

Realization has been a key factor in achieving gnosis in my own experience with it. If we let the ego do this, we draw in vices, some inverted qualities of virtuees we could develope if we used the actual consciousness to arrive at realizations.

As far as Pistis Sophia, there should be an online copy floating around Gnosticweb's site somewhere.

the part about drawing in vices, that is astute in its observation.Through a whole lot of years the (fact) that because of gnosis one can be fooled in that knowledge can be as deceiving if it is not tempered with humility. humility is the virtue that allows the consicience to find security in knowing with out the ego leading you astray.; Keen point on your part and an observation that is wholly important to understanding
