Out of all the most common cities in the world, how come there is no center in or near Los Angeles?

Yes, it would be great to keep spreading out to the larger populations... but how about the San Francisco Bay Area Gnostic Center? How long a drive is it from LA to Berkeley?

Cheers,

It's around 380 miles so that's about a 5-6 hour drive. It's not too bad, but my husband would never let me drive that once a week. Especially because he is not in this work and would not understand my commitment to it and not spending the weekends with him.

If I were single, I'd be there every weekend if they were open.

Hey there Dusty,

I can see what you mean, it is a real privilege and tremendous help to be near a centre. You never know, maybe one will open up soon as the teachings spread and people will want to have a centre where to go.

All the best to you,
Patricia

Hi PatriciaS,

Well, I hope so for other people's sake as well as mine. I'll probably only be living here another year or so. But, it would be neat to help open one if the resources and people were here.

Hi Dusty,

I'm up in Berkeley but I have yet to explore the west coast.

I'd love to explore at some point and do some photography along the way - get a group of us going maybe...

Dusty:

I wonder the same thing about no center in New York City, being there are so many people in the area. Then again, although the atmosphere here is relatively open-minded, it is far from enlightened (in my opinion).

I don't know which is closer, Toronto or Montreal, but either one would be quite a schlep for me to make on the weekends, especially with three dogs in the apartment needing to be taken care of and no car.

I'm sure something will work out one day if I were to increase my efforts in these practices. Until then I shall remain isolated among millions.

Hi Andronicus,

I am in Montreal, for now.

Yeah, we are not too far from New York.
If you'll decide to come one day, would be fantastic to see you!

Hi guys,

Well, it's making me strive harder to find it in the astral. lol I guess some of us need to work this through alone. When we don't need to anymore, we will have people around us I suppose.

Hi Vadim,

Montreal is the closest to Halifax, too. I think of visiting sometime, but so far I haven't made any concrete plans. It's pretty far, about 15 hours driving anyway. Is there any particular time in the not too distant future that would be good for visiting?
