Help of the Divine Mother

Hi all,

I wanted to share something really amazing I've come to see clearer just recently. This was inspired by the discussion Edith guided two Saturdays ago.

I've been looking into my relationship with my Divine Mother (a spiritual part of my Being - we all have our own Divine Mother). Our Divine Mother is always there for us to help us in our spiritual development, but we need to sincerely want her help in order to benefit fully from it.

The sort of spiritual development I am referring to is breaking free of inner negativity like jealousy and anxiety, and having more peace and wisdom in the events of life.

In different circumstances we tend to experience different inner states. If we need to make it somewhere quickly we can find ourselves in a psychological frenzy, rushing to get there. If people are rude to us, very quickly we can feel irritation and have angry thoughts about them. In these examples, there is a better way of responding to the situations. We could still make haste but do so without feeling rushed and panicked. We could still deal with unkindness and have serenity.

Progressing spiritually requires that we learn through the various situations in life. We cannot overcome those feelings of being rushed without being in a situation in which something needs to get done quite quickly. We cannot overcome our anger without having anger stirred up within us.

It would be great if just facing the situations was enough to learn. But it's not that easy. In the difficult situations we need to be making a conscious effort to learn and the most profound learning in these situations comes about with the help of our Divine Mother.

Edith had mentioned that if we had seen an event happen in our life and we saw that we didn't truly learn from the situation that we could pray to our Divine Mother and she would provide us with the same (or a very similar) opportunity again. And we could then do our best to learn from it.

Now there are just too many events I didn't learn properly from to pick among :-p so what I did is ask my Divine Mother for an opportunity to grow spiritually - an opportunity that I didn't make the best use of in the past. Any opportunity she chose...

The results were quite amazing. In my days following, I asked for this help each morning and I quickly found events coming up that triggered negative states within me. Facing that panic of hurrying was one thing that came up. Another was having to do a very tedious chore that just had to get it done.

I could see that in the past I failed to use virtually identical situations to their fullest potential for spiritual growth and now I was given the opportunities to make things right. While I know there is still room for improvement, I feel I did a better job of facing the situations and gained a lot more from them.

I just wanted to share my findings on putting this insight to the test. And for those who have not yet tried something like this I would highly recommend it.

All the strength, everyone!

Mike

Hi Mike, Thanks a lot for

Hi Mike,

Thanks a lot for sharing, sounds like a really great way to start a day with a sincere prayer and then try to live a day according to it.

Seems like a way to go to strengthen the relationship with Divine. Ask and receive and make it happen and ask again.

"in the past I failed to use virtually identical situations to their fullest potential for spiritual growth and now I was given the opportunities to make things right."

Can relate so much to it!

I think dreams play a very important role here too because that's where we can receive a feedback from Divine Parents learning to be "their good son or good daughter" like Edith put it so nicely.

Then, perhaps it comes a lot to organizing a day intelligently, creating a spiritually inspired goals and manifesting them with efforts.

Strength to all!!!

Hello Mike, thanks very,

Hello Mike,
thanks very, very much for sharing your insights with us. I too know that I missed many an opportunity to learn more about the egos by allowing myself to become clouded and overwhelmed in the moment.
I will definitely investigate your suggestion.
In closing I just wanted to add that as time has passed I too have discovered the power of the Divine Mother. If you really plead with all your heart it is quite surprising to see just how quickly that assistance will come to you so that you are able to do what is needed for your learning. I am grateful for these teachings; who knows where I would be now without them.
Kind regards and all the very best to you,
Patricia

Yes, and when we do this,

Yes, and when we do this, then the Divine Mother is happy with us, and when she's happy, we're happy, genuinely. There's nothing more precious than this relationship with the Divine. And I've found that in these times, with great efforts and willingness to face difficulties, that our Mother will give us advice without even asking, she will address problems that for weeks or months seemed to have no solution.

Mike, thanks for sharing, we can all use this reminder.

Thanks for that Mike, a

Hi Mike, Thanks for the post

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the post - it's wonderful to think what's available to us - and sad to think how we don't use it...

Just recently I have started trying to come out of "auto-pilot" in a few situations in my life. You know - where somebody presses the right button, and away you go in the same way, without a moment's thought...

I still have a long way to go, but I have seen a profound difference in dealing with a situation when I can see the egos, and I can recognise the familiar temptations BEFORE I react in the usual way. When you see the egos face to face like that, they are unmasked, and their power to manipulate melts away. It's a feeling of relief, and empowerment, though it's easy too for me to fall into the "cocky" attitude, and forget what (who) helped me to succeed in the first place.

I'm going to give your suggestion a try - of asking my Divine Mother for the chance to face again situations that I haven't dealt with well in the past, and then try to deal with what comes up in awareness... A daunting task, but worth the effort I'm sure :-)

Thanks,
Vicki

That's a wonderful insight

That's really great, Mike. Thanks for posting this. It helps to see your example of it in action.

I can relate to the rushed egos, too. I have actually been trying to tackle them lately myself. All the strength in your fight.
