Its a great course and I have found its such an amazing practise. Try your best with the practises. ITs so beneficial when we try the practise once you have learned it in the courses to try it every day.

Welcome, nice to meet you! Where abouts are you in the States? I am currently in Melbourne Australia so at the moment I get to attend the center here, but I am planning to move to the States later in the year to be with my Fiancée - he's in Phoenix Arizona so he's not near a center either :(

Hope you enjoy the meditation class - meditation can not only bring some wonderful benefits to your life, like everyone else here has said it also sets a great foundation for the other courses to come. Good luck :)

Welcome to Gnosticweb. I wish I had found this site when I was 16 :-)
Attending courses in person is always a great option. However, doing the courses online is still extremely valuable especially with the current live skype lectures that give that personal interaction with teachers. Ultimately though results come down to personal investigation rather then physical location.
